Lovely, just finished watching the TOC live. I'm happy for KCIII, the enthusiasm of the RAF to make his first official birthday 'very' special. 70 aircraft took place rather than the usual 20 plus. Congratulations to them for making it - Charles looked happy.

Also, TG the horseback riding went well without a hitch for Charles, Anne, William and Edward. I was a bit nervous for C and E.

I like the the fact that the horse Prince Edward rode in Trooping the Colour is named Sir John.
John has not been used as a name for a Prince in the Royal Family in decades.
However, at least a royal horse has the name.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have a history of gifting horses to the Stables at Windsor. In the Past there has been a horse called Jerry, another called James, an Elizabeth, who foaled a Victoria, and another called George, besides the famous Burmese which the late Queen rode for years when she used to review the troops on horseback at the TOC.
