Wonderful people dealing with a life-long disability. I so wish all blindness could be cured.

Nightowl

^Oh I do also, I have a member of my former husband who was born blind and I swear she is one of the smartest ladies I have ever known.....she can do anything she sat her mind to, she can knit better then me and get so frustrated with knitting.  I admire her as she never gives up. I love that Charles went there to see how this was done.  Knowing someone close who is blind really makes me appreciate my eyes and so that I really take great care of them, Thanks Dr. Gorgeous!

A busy couple in their mid 70's! They have plenty of staff for their everyday needs and secretarial work, etc, but it's still a lot of reading, prep, writing, thinking, and attending that nobody else can do for them.

I think these sculptures are beautiful. I?ve definitely seen something like them before and have been racking my brain as to where. It might have been in a design in one of the rooms at Hampton Court Palace, as to me they have very much a medieval feel. I never knew the animal symbol for Northern Ireland is the Elk. You learn something new every day!

I absolutely agree with you on that, People just do not understand all the hard work it takes to do their jobs, it is not all about ribbon cutting and shaking hands.   Even the ladies have to have decisions on their clothes weeks in advance, they have to wear clothes according to the event  they will be attending, reading and learning all the names of the people at the events, and what the meaning of the event is about, and more.  I just wonder how many 70 year olds would be able to do the job that Charles and Camilla are doing today, just look at HM and how she worked up to the very day of her death.....I admire them so very much.  It is not all about servants, diamonds, cars and palaces, it is about the commitment to honor your country and the people.  They do just that and more!

Happy Holidays Princess C   :xmas19:
