What languages do you speak? You may select several options provided you speak them...  :P

Macrobug

English at times   :teehee:
I can babble a bit in Arabic, French and Oji-Cree.  I can read a fair amount of French.
GNU Terry Pratchett

cinrit

English and gobble-de-gook.  I can read a bit of French, but can't speak it, and I used to speak Spanish fluently.  But, as they say, use it or lose it.  I lost most of the Spanish.

Cindy
Always be yourself.  Unless you can be a unicorn.  Then always be a unicorn.

Jenee

"It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live" -Dumbledore

Lothwen

I speak English fluently, and know some words in Spanish, French, German and ASL.
You may think you're cool, but do you have a smiley named after you?
Harryite 12-005

Okay, fine.  Macrobug is now as cool as I am

Jenee

Ah, I also know a tiny bit of ASL... I can fingerspell, and I took a semester long class ages ago and remember a few signs. Not much to go on though!

Lothwen

^I know the sign for "bathroom" can fingerspell the alphabet, and can count to 10.  HA!

Macrobug

I know "airplane", "lady", "mister", "sleep" and "eat" and remember about 24/26 letters.  It has been over 20 years since I used ASL.  It's gone, gone, gone.....
GNU Terry Pratchett

Lindelle

I speak English.

But I'm best known for my special language designed especially for the four men who have lived in my presence for the past 26 years.
It takes a special skill to decipher it and only the mere males in my home understand it.

It has sign language to go with it like as follows
:hug?: :hehe: :windsor: >( :nocomment: :random39:  :ugh:

wannable

Fluent in English and Spanish, so and so in French.

Scarlet Flowers

I speak fluently in English and know a little bit of Spanish.
They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept any but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it.~Red Cloud

WOW

Lothwen

^WOW, could you teach me Lindellese? Better yet, you should set up a class for it, where we all pay you in bribes to teach us how to speak that exclusive language?
You may think you're cool, but do you have a smiley named after you?

WOW

Oh yes, great idea!! Why didn't i think of that earlier :hmm:  I'm running to the Lindellite thread to start my preparations

memememe

English but a bit of Strine at times as well (colloquial Australian)

Scarlet Flowers

Colloquial Australian sounds interesting.  Is that a local or continental dialect?

Lindelle

I speak Strine as well memememe, but don't all Australians?

SF, strine in easy terms is trying to decipher how us Aussies speak.
I remember there was a thread somewhere here when i was writing phrases as we would SAY them like
'avagooweegen' means 'have a good weekend'

here's a short sample

^^ Cajun-speak is something like that.  "Jeet?" = "Did you eat?" :D

Cindy

WOW

Look Lindelle doesn't even speak her own language "Lindellese". Looks like I'm going to have to teach the Lindellites all by myself

It appears to be a shortened version.  It may take some time getting used to.

cinrit

^^ Yep, that's exactly what it is.  I don't understand most of it.  Well, I don't even understand Cajun accents much, so no big surprise. :P

Cindy

Scarlet Flowers

Is it the French or Spanish accent that isn't understandable?

Cajun language is French, but not the same French as you'd hear in France.  They're similar, but not the same.  Strangely enough, I can understand French accents, but not Cajun accents.
