QuotePrince Harry is becoming 'an embarrassment to this country', a veteran royal photographer has claimed.

I haven't been online much this past week, so someone let me know if this has already been posted elsewhere!

First time i've seen this one.  thank you

hippie_cyndi

why single Harry out....then again coming from 'royal photographer'.....who makes his doh from scandals is pathetic!
Thanx Crystalrayn :flowery:

These stories always say Clarence House declined to comment. Did some stupid reporter really call and say, "It's a really slow news day and we're writing another of those stories based on a comment by someone who doesn't even know Harry. Would you like to make a statement?" I just can't imagine a reported would really call and ask or, if they actually did, that they would really think CH would make a comment.

Jenee

I wonder if they let CH know when they are running stories on the RF? As a courtesy??

Wait a second, what am I saying? As a courtesy? :happytears: This is the tabloid media we're talking about here!

i totally disagree with the embarrassment part :windsor: but this....
Quote'I like Prince Harry. I think he's just a fabulous young man, but he is an Army officer now and that behaviour last week, when he staggers out, falling over out of nightclubs, trying to attack a photographer...
is pretty much what we've been saying.  i dont think he's an embarrassment.....i think he's normal.  he can do the Grown-Up-Prince-In-Uniform thing as well as any other member of the Royal Family.  and he can do the Caring-Down-To-Earth-One-Of-The-People-Prince thing better then most of them.  Harry is an asset.  and i'm not just saying that because i'm an Ite.

Arthur Edwards said this? :o

That's it..he's off my list now... *goes over to The Sun and removes her tribute to Arfur in her profile*

How dare he say this...he's supposed to know better than most what Harry's been through...He also knew what Diana had been through...he's jsut blown it IMO  Maybe I shoulod email him? It'll be the 12th email this week to a media outlet :lmao: I'm becoming one of those crazy people who slowly have a pile of rubbish by their side and they eat out of cans and constantly email people about issues and then live vicariously through some fantasy world where they create a character such as an animal and pretend it's them...  :hmm:

Stix Chix

^ "becoming"? ???

:P

i was surprised Edwards said that too. :(  he's said a few nice things about Harry in the past and for a paparazzi he seems to lack horns and a stench of sulfur.  he even seems nice.  if i had to have a group of photographers showing up all the time i'd be glad to see him among them.....unless it was 3 in the morning and i'd had a few.  maybe that's what Edwards is really annoyed about?  the media is fine with Kate when they can print fluffy stories accompanied by fluffy pictures.....take that away and what do they write about?  that you should be nicer to the press....however annoying they can be.

I actually agree that he should stop getting completely wasted. He has responsibilities. It's okay to get wasted at a friends house, but not in public...

Pri

I completely disagree. Harry is not an embarrassment. He's done some things he shouldn't have, but it hardly connotes being called an embarrassment.  I'm inclined to think that some idiots make these grandiose claims just to see their name in the paper. :notamused:

And William's behavior was dignified last week as well? :gaah:

Can you imagine when William is crowned King William V in the Abbey -- the papers will feature his famous boa pictures alongside Queen Kate's famous crotch shot -- aw, lovely, really lovely!
or what about the "is he or isn't he groping her breast, although he sure looks drunk" picture ...

at least Harry is about to redeem his boorish behavior in a REALLY BIG WAY -- by serving his country and being willing to die along with his soldiers ... we love ya, Harry

and Arthur -- go screw yourself! :neenerneener:

QuoteHe said one of the things he had always admired about the Royal Family was their "dignity", even in "the darkest times".

"They look straight in your face. They might not be happy. They might be feeling really miserable inside," he said.

"I think that's what we've got to get back into Prince Harry."
from article.....

maybe this is the problem Edwards you pompest @$$......maybe he is unhappy but he shows it more in a different way....and why should get it into harry, he is just a boy that is slowly for the past few years entering the world forever mapped out let him drink and let him fall sometimes one does have to learn from ones mistakes.

:hmm: this seems to be an old topic why is the news agents bringing this back....

I can't recall who it was that was being interviewed, but the gent called both princes "embarrassments", which, when compared to the young members of other royal families, like Sweden, they are, in my opinion. They are both adults with "careers" in the military and yet they still act like teenage yahoos, stumbling drunk out of nightclubs, fighting with paps, groping girls breasts. It is about time they started living up to their exalted statuses in society. At William's age, I believe his Grandmother was already Queen. What's he done recently? And Harry might be the "spare", but unless he plans on giving up his title and everything that goes with it, he needs to act like part of a historic institution, and not a frat boy.

I found the interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4qDWXRta9A I warn you though, there is excessive kissing of Kate's butt in this interview. You may need a barf bag.

Her is another video with some debate on the subject. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ea3OPRtjws
Disclaimer: This is my opinion, I have no facts

The first link is an Australian mrning show..not the one about Harry being an embarassment.

The second link is one of their all-stars who simply give their opinion on issues...Interestingly..Nicole Sheffield (the lady in the red) is a magazine editor...

The BBC interview is with Arthur Edwards..it's a different one completely to these two

I don't think he's any more embarassing than Wills...or even some of his uncles. Or his dad. They've all done some pretty stupid things in their time - but then who hasn't? The point is, like Stix said up there, that's not the ONLY side of Harry, his "Caring-Down-To-Earth-One-Of-The-People" thing is the best the RF have got at the moment...and c'mon, he's going off in the army to serve his country, how exactly is that embarassing?
And we all went to heaven in a little row boat.

why is harry being singled out? it's not as if his brother's faultless. noone ever writes or says anything good about him and he cannot win. true he has his problems, but he does charity work and is a good soldier. why can't anyone ever point this out. all they can say is he is embarrassing. that's not the whole picture and they are biased against him. i see him as being the least windsorfied person of all the windsors, he doesn't really fit in does he? he's not really one of them. poor guy.

i root for the guy. i would like to see him do well and shame them all.

mclarek

the papers will feature his famous boa pictures alongside Queen Kate's famous crotch shot[/quote] ??? I missed the crotch shot shot???? was it akin to a Britney Spears moment? Please post pic...I need to laugh...

Seriously now...I think the alochol problem runs in both families..wasn't that why Diana never drank b/c her father (and from what I hear) mother had alcohol abuse issues?  Also no doubt there is booze problems on the RF side...I think PC has a nip at the gin bottle every day [ to unwind after a hard days work]...I just think Harry needs to be careful and aware of a genetic predisposition toward ...(ouch hurts to say) alcoholism..he definitly ABUSES alcohol that's public info....! It is time to stop..no more finding "reasons" to drink including goign to war...Can you imagine him going though the DTs and trying to commnad troops??? JMO

:hide:  ....Ummm, Harry is a class act and "all" of the criticisms and pressures for him to conform to the status quo will not effect him at all.  He will blossom into one of the UK's finest and most respected men, I got a feeling about this :hissyfit:  He is his "own man" now and an individual thinker, chooses his own path, and marches to the beat of a different drum.  He has already shown his maturity by starting his own charity to honor his mother's memory at such a young age  :french: mess with that if you will UK  :duel: I'm only waiting to see how many people will be lining up to kiss his :censored:  He is a fine young man but only human and I for one am sick and tired of the double standards displayed against him and William, damned if they do and damned if they don't, eh?  First they tell them should not get any special perks in the military and then when they start acting like regular yahoos, they put them down, stop the madness   :gaah:   :hide:
