At least the Just Stop Oil people seem to have ended their sticking things to works of art for now. However, I do think there may be a few protestors out at Sandringham especially if Andrew sticks his head out anywhere, or next year. The new reign heralds a bit of an all bets are off trend, imo. What would have been considered very disrespectful to the old Queen might well not appear the same way with regards to a new monarch.

Here's a photo of KCIII in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. This is the location where he filmed his first Christmas broadcast.  :xmas5:

The Director of the Ukrainian Children's Choir who performed at the Christmas Carol Service is trying to get a copy of the broadcast to the children's fathers who are fighting on the front lines.   :snowflake:

Ukrainian children's choir sing at Princess of Wales?s concert to boost morale on front lines

QuoteThey sang their little hearts out for their fathers back in Ukraine on the frontline. A children?s choir of Ukrainian refugees performed at the royal carol service, after being personally invited to do so by the Princess of Wales.
The future queen praised the children for their ?courage?, describing the school choir as a ?wonderful example of how to find pockets of happiness, meaning and comfort? in the face of a conflict.
The service held at Westminster Abbey last week will be broadcast on Christmas Eve and recordings sent back to Ukraine for absent fathers to watch.

I?ve been to St Mary?s church at Sandringham, several times. The only way to get back to the big house, Sandringham, for Xmas lunch, is to walk along the path that leads to it from the church, (or drive if ill or old.)

So you don?t have to be Nostradamus to foresee that all members of the family, including extended family members, will be doing the walk from Church to the house. Unless they are non believers, which is a distinct possibility given that Britain is very much a secular country.

That doesn?t mean however, that Andrew, Fergie, Lady Sara, Eugenie and Beatrice or most other extended family, will be walking and taking flowers from the public. Nor will Camilla?s children and grandchildren, whom most members of the British public (say about 98% of them) wouldn?t know from Adam, or a drovers dog, as we say in Australia. And that goes for all the extended members as well.

Happy to see Camilla's family are welcome now at Sandringham. KCIII and the QC have a blended family so IMO they deserve an invitation too. Good to see that Earl Snowdon and Lady Sarah Chatto have invitations to Sandringham this year to join their maternal cousins for the holiday.  Their aunt Queen Elizabeth was one of their last links to their maternal grandmother and mother so this Christmas is likely to be a poignant one for them.  It's a nice gesture that Sarah, Duchess of York has been invited by her former brother-in-law to Sandringham.

As for who is walking in the procession tomorrow, we'll know soon enough.

A very well attended Christmas 🎄 service today and this appears to have the largest gathering of under 15's that I have seen there for Christmas service in many years.

Kids from oldest to youngest: Savanah,  Isla, George, Mia, Wolfe, Charlotte, Louis, and Lena. Lucas, August and Sienna will have a few years before they make their debuts. And I'm ever hopeful that cousins Archie and Lilibet will one day join in too.

Unexpected surprise-Andrew  but it was fitting that he was present today  IMO.

Good to see that Wolfie was there with the family too.

I didn't see Anne or Timothy there today and hope all is well with them.
