QuotePRINCE William and Kate Middleton launched their mental health support scheme after the Duchess of Cambridge was ?moved to tears? by the plight of frontline workers battling coronavirus.

Kate, 38, - who this week launched ?Our Frontline? alongside William ? is said to have been played a ?pivotal?.

The Duchess was so deeply affected by stories of NHS staff and emergency workers fighting Covid-19 that she wept after hearing their stories while setting up the support network.

The royal couple made the announcement this week, months after the Sun on Sunday revealed they were planning to launch a mental health organisation.

Corona virus notwithstanding, mental illness is probably the most serious health issue we have. It affects everything when someone's emotional health breaks down; relationships, employment, abuse of all kinds, parenting, snowball effect with other issues, and all sorts of physical ailments brought on when someone is extremely anguished for any length of time. And it's so dangerous; those who are affected by someone else's extreme anger are often badly injured or killed. And it's costly. So glad the Cambridges are recognizing it and raising funds to address. Plus they have been working to decrease the stigma of mental  health issues.

They seem to have a good flow of work during these times. It's nice to see. I quite like watching the videos, usually in their normal meet ups you don't get to hear them dicussing things at length.

I know the letter tells the Nursing Now men and women that the #NursingNowCampaign is on a halt.  But it can later be taken as everything postponed, as soon as Covid19 is in the last stage, vaccine discovery and administered/inoculated by nurses worldwide to the population.

Kate can also do a William with the Scottish Anglican Church thing he was to participate this year, transfer it to next year. Kate has a role with the NN, just for last year and this.

Quote
Nursing Now, a three-year global campaign (2018-2020), aims to improve health by raising the profile and status of nursing worldwide.Run in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the International Council of Nurses, Nursing Now seeks to empower nurses to take their place at the heart of tackling 21st Century health challenges and maximize their contribution to achieving Universal

Thank you for posting the CC's too.  A famous twitter who I follow made her first CC mistake, having said the Shout was Thursday 14th, when it was 13th.  A possible confusion with the Sussex and the American shout version?!

It's amazing how members of the RF have stepped up to mark and enthusiastically visit patronages via electronic devices, but it must be very hard.  I personally find video conferences and Zoom Meetings and the like difficult. So much better when you are there in person. But that is where we are at the moment and I think we are all happy to see it going in the right direction!

The thing I admire is that the entire royal family is still working and doing the very best they can during this horrific situation the entire world is in.  William and Catherine seem more at ease and relax then they have ever been and playing bingo was amazing to me.  Seeing Charles and Camilla with their dogs and working from Scotland was great and I miss HM out and about doing her thing at her age.  Even the Duke an Duchess of Essex are hard at work.....this is a positive step in doing things a bit different now and it works.  Even the cousins of HM are still working ........no one is laying in the sun basking away as life moves on the royal family moves right on with it.
