I just read that the St. Patrick's day 17th March parade in London has been cancelled.  So W&K may also cancel the 1st Battalion Irish Guard Shamrock and Parade too, usually 350 soldiers take part, and Kate wears the Cartier Shamrock brooch.

Because of the Covid19, I'm hearing the Cambridge's will also, as everyone, will be making a lot of significant changes in their royal working short/mid/long term projects and charities, the focus will be the vulnerable of Covid19.  Until 'quarantine' is over and life is back in the 'streets' so to speak.

Unofficial.

Do we know if they have anything planned for the coming weeks?

Behind the screen work.

I understand the NET, KP and NHS had talks with food chains, restaurants, others to help out whatever way with the people in uniform.  Food chains are now controlling and have special first in the morning hours to medical uniforms, restaurants whom all have closed are delivering all the food they had in inventory since they will be closed 3 weeks approx.

Today The Royal Marsden NHS, which Prince William is their President received and delivered to all NHS workers free food.

Today, a ?free shop? for the staff at @royalmarsdenNHS is going on inside the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity Building. With social distancing-friendly queues outside, staff are allowed in, a few at a time, to grab essentials. A huge thanks to @BookerCatering for supplying the food!

Great to see that another front line emergency service is receiving the food today.

The COVID-19 has required the BRF to find new ways to show their support and IMO this is a safe and appropriate manner in which to do so now that UK is under a stay at home order.

The Duke of Cambridge has issued an impassioned plea for more help for rough sleepers in the life and death emergency during the coronavirus crisis.

The Duke of Cambridge speaks to The Passage Chief Executive, Mick Clarke: This is a life and death fight to help the homeless during the coronavirus

They can do so much good, the connections and friendships the royals do and have....Holiday Inn took most of the homeless up and down the UK to shelter them.

Holiday Inn is owned by the parents of the wife of Guy Pelly.  :hug?:

William is asking for clothing and cellphone (with a free limited line) so the homeless can be dressed and in touch.

A very vulnerable population that is likely to be unable to recuperate without shelter. Thank you to Holiday Inn and other hotels/inns  for their offer to take in homeless across the UK.

UK hotels to become homeless shelters under coronavirus plan | World news | The Guardian

QuoteHotels and offices will be converted into emergency safe spaces under a national action plan drawn up by Tony Blair?s former homelessness expert, to protect rough sleepers from coronavirus.

Louise Casey, hired by Boris Johnson last month over the issue of homelessness, was scheduled to start her role after Easter but deepening disquiet that the government was ?sleepwalking? on homeless people?s vulnerability to Covid-19 led to her being drafted in to spearhead its response.

The strategy to safeguard the homeless will be announced on Monday and follows the lead of California in allowing vacant hotels to be requisitioned into homes for rough sleepers and those vulnerable to the virus.

In practical terms, protecting the UK?s population of homeless people and rough sleepers by offering safe space to self-isolate means that up to 45,000 ?self-contained accommodation spaces? need to be urgently found.

QuoteThe PHE guidance also suggests taking up a new hobby or setting goals to combat anxiety and low mood while staying at home and following advice on social distancing or self-isolation.

There is also support for those already living with a serious mental health problem, including how to access help from professionals.

PHE said it is issuing guidance to trusts on prioritisation of services and how to maximise use of digital and virtual channels to keep delivering support to patients.

It said NHS mental health providers are also establishing 24/7 helplines. Mental Health Minister Nadine Dorries, who was herself diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier this month, said when she discovered she had the virus she "felt anxious and scared".

"For those who already suffer with anxiety or other mental health issues this may present new and difficult challenges," she said.

Mind is one of the charities preparing to adapt and increase their services.

They are reaching out to vulnerable groups including older adults and people with underlying health conditions, and also anyone experiencing unstable employment and housing conditions.

Paul Farmer, chief executive of Mind, said: "Whether we have an existing mental health problem or not, we are all going to need extra help to deal with the consequences of this unprecedented set of circumstances."

"Reaching out to friends and family is critical, as well as paying attention to the impact our physical health can have on our mental health - from diet and exercise to getting enough natural light and a little fresh air," he said.  Thank you for sharing the BBC article @PrincessOfPeace
