Drizzling day in Gloucester.  I wish they had focused on the Tindall's, but having said that, Meghan's huge buttons are too heavy or they are about to fall off being held by one thread about to break. I'm not sure about the combo though; blue velvet hat, burgundy coat with huge black shiny buttons. Perhaps the shoes is a combo of blue/black/burgundy?

It was very sweet of the Queen to turn up to the christening of little Lena, though no Philip. And it's lovely that Harry was chosen as godfather. Anne is very fond of Harry and always seems to enjoy a chat with him and Meghan. I don't care what outfit Meghan had on. In those last weeks of pregnancy you feel like an elephant anyway whatever you wear,  and good on her for turning up!

Meghan's coat has been identified as a vintage 1950's swing coat. (Good choice as its wider shape would fit her now.) If it is never seen again, then IMO this is a perfect example of one of the PoW's daughters-in-law making use of a loan. I feel the same way about Catherine's McQueen coat for the Irish Guards event.

UFO No More on Twitter: "Meghan wore a Dior Dior Haute couture evening silk brown coat, circa 1950 from William Vintage at Lena's christening? "

Meghan scores a victory for finding something that fits at this point in time!

Nice to see that Zara and Mike have asked Harry to be Lena's Godfather. William is Mia's Godfather and Zara is one of George's Godmothers.

Did Lena wear the replica of the Honiton christening gown that has been worn by several royal infants?

TLLK

@Curryong-Wasn't James (Viscount Sevren) the first baby to use the replica gown?

Curryong

You mean after Beatrice and Eugenie were squashed into the original, bursting out of it! Yes, the replica gown was indeed worn by James Viscount Severn in 2008. The original had done very good service.

Royal Weddings: Wedding of Zara Phillips to Mike Tindall ? Royal Central

QuoteJust months after the high profile wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton, Zara Phillips married her longtime boyfriend, Mike Tindall on 30 July 2011. It wasn?t a wedding full of cameras and politicians but an event with a down to earth feeling.

I like the fact that Scotland was chosen as the location of the wedding due to Zara's Scottish ties.

Why not. It's the best country in the world! And the weather is so much better than Britain's.

I'd purchase an abode, and live half/half.  Her family, extended, friends and Gatcombe Park is too good to just leave it all.

Why not consider a move there? The children can go to school there and the couple can return home for the holidays to see the grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins etc..

I hadn't realized they had been going there for so long! Obviously they love it and it is their choice. Take it from me with a child halfway around the world - it would be hard on Anne and Peter.

That is why IMO half/half, they have money to have several properties around the world, plus you are right, Princess Anne and her children are very close and vice versa Peter and Zara and their respective families too. It's lovely to see them weekend after weekend with the equestrian calendar and fairs both families and grandmother Anne interacting.

Well Peter's wife is Canadian, for her family must be hard she living in Britain, she spending Christmas away from them too. But it's the life, children grow up and led their own lives.

Australia is one beautiful country! If they're sun-and-beach-loving people, they'll be very happy there. but i think zara has more a few years in her career

Congratulations to Zara and Mike. Lovely news, perhaps a little boy this time.
