well hardly.. it was MEgs' first appearance with the baby.. she was bound to be more looking at him, than laughing at K's kids

The series of photograph do not record every single second. Kate and Meghan are not exactly going to frolic together at Polo giggling and laughing. They children were there and probably the nannies. Little George was standing next to his Aunt, certainly words were exchanged.

I don't think Meghan is a pariah and the sisters in law were there to support their husbands.

And did Kate interact with Archie, coo at him, look at Harry and Meghan's baby, because I didn't see anything of the kind. Interacting isn't a one way street.

Yes, Kate didnt interact with Archie and Meghan didnt interact with kate's kids. Even when they were photograhed physically close enough there werent any interactions. No surprise imo

Not really... I think that Meg was probably nervous and worried, first time she was seen out with the baby.. and tyring to look after him... and Kate was with her 3 who were running around. They were problaby busy enough with their children to not have time to chat much or look at the other's children

btw i've seen several times women holding their baby while talking to other people as well as mothers with young kids and or toddlers talking and laughing with mothers holding a baby.

It was her frist outing with the baby. I thought she looked a bit awkward holidng him (not that Im blaming her for that I hasten to add) .and she probably talked to anyone who talked to her.. but Kate was busy with her kids...

Very true @amabel. Besides I doubt that we saw the entire visit via a few photos. The vast majority of new parents are nervous and focused when it's the first time out for baby. Personally I would have had a hat on Archie as he is too young for sunscreen unlike his cousins but Meghan kept him in the shade. Catherine had to keep a closer eye on a more mobile Louis but her older kids were fine playing nearby.

Louis is not that old and everybody should wear hats and wear sunscreen even the adults.

@amabel -Reportedly the Sussexes have been trying out a few candidates but I don't know if one has been officially hired. I presume that they will need one in place prior to the trip to South Africa this fall.

I thought that Meg would look after the baby herself while on materity leave? BUt I seem to remember a story that they had had 3 nannies in a few weeks... so I wonder which it is..

Babies can begin to wear sunscreen at six months so Louis would be well protected like his siblings if he's wearing it. Toddlers are well known for removing hats, socks, etc.. so sunscreen is protection that is less easily dispensed with.😁 Also like Archie he was mostly photographed in the shade so he would be fine.😊

She has looked very relaxed at the two recent events without him, so she must feel comfortable with whomever is watching him at this point.

I thought she looked strained the other day when she had him out herself for te first time... not surprisingly.. It is very anxious making takng care of a baby and it was problaby the first time she had gone out with Arhcie

Royals do have nannies. It's their way of life. If Kate and the other royal mothers hire nannies, I don't see any reason why Meghan shouldn't.

The Sussexes just like the Cambridges, Wessexes, Yorks, Wales and reigning royals around the world will have to have a nanny at some point. :shrug: If she/he was helping Meghan out at the polo match, that seems reasonable especially if they're still in the "getting to know you stage."

Because Harry and Meghan make a great point of "doing things their way" and since Meg is on Maternity leave and not doing engagmenets.. I kind of thought she would be "Im taking care of the baby and we don't need a nanny"

It has been said that they have had 2 or 3 differnet nannies in the past 2 months.. so I assume that they have decided to have some kind of nanny helping out while Meg is on Mat Leave.. But I am a bit surprised given their penchant for saying that they are doing things "their way".. not necessarily the traditional royal way. As Meg is on leave, ther's no need for her to go to events like Trooping the Colour or film premieres so wy not enjoy the time at home with Archie...
