Consider the source.

While I do expect that Meghan's wedding  gown will eventually be on display as either a solo (Catherine's gown) or group wedding (QEII's, QEQM's etc..)gown exhibit, I'd wait for an actual announcement from The Royal Trust as to how, when and where her gown and accessories would be displayed.

The Duchess of Sussex?s wedding dress may go on display ? Royal Central

QuoteThe display of royal wedding dresses is a tradition for the British Royal Family. The Duchess of Cambridge?s wedding dress was displayed at Buckingham Palace as part of the summer exhibition in 2011 and raised a record amount of funds. Kate?s shoes, veil, tiara, and jewellery were included in the display.

The Queen?s wedding dress was displayed in 2016 to mark her 90th birthday with other important dresses worn during her life.

Hopefully a decision on whether or not the dress will be displayed in 2018 will be reached soon. :Jen:

It was very sweet of Wendell Pierce to tell Meghan to give him a call if it all came to be too much. I'm sure they were close when they worked together on Suits.

However, I'm not quite sure how an American actor with no real knowledge of Harry, the BRF, British tabloids or how the Palace grey men operate is going to be of much use giving advice.

There are trust issues as well. Even if Meghan rings just blowing off steam, Wendell mentioning the cause or the call to a family member or fellow actor on the new series could mean it's repeated to others and then gets out into the world. I can just imagine the Fail reacting to that. 'Meghan gripes to Suits actor about the Cambridges/Queen/her schedule'!!

I always remember reading that the QM told someone that, from the moment of her marriage she never discussed any problems she encountered within the Royal Family with any members of her birth family, nor committed them to paper. In those days it was probably due to servants listening at doors, looking at correspondence while dusting, but the principle stands.

Confirmation tweet from the Royal Collection Trust.

RoyalCollectionTrust on Twitter: "The exhibition 'A #RoyalWedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex' will move to #HolyroodPalace in Edinburgh

The Royal Collection has successfully exhibited wedding gowns dating back to Princess Charlotte all the way through The Duchess of Cambridge. By having two exhibition sites, the RC  could potenially see high ticket sales like in 2011.  :)

That was not really a wedding dress though. It was worn after the ceremony.

TLLK

I agree @sandy. It was her evening reception dress so the Royal Collection likely saw no need to include it in the exhibition. However those who journey to WC and Holyrood will have the opportunity to view IMO the two of the best pieces of her wedding ensemble: Her stunning veil and the tiara that she wore that day. :)

Preliminary photos for the exhibition. There are closeups of the veil's hem so the embroidery detail can be seen clearly.

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Royal Exhibition of the Day: The Sussex Wedding on Display

QuoteThe Duchess added two of her favourite flowers to the embroidered decoration: Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox), which grows in the grounds of Kensington Palace in front of Nottingham Cottage, and the California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica), the State flower of The Duchess's place of birth, California. Embroidered ears of wheat, symbolising love and charity, are symmetrically placed at the front of the veil, which is edged with embroidered organza flowers.

It took the team of embroiderers hundreds of hours to create the design, washing their hands every 30 minutes to keep the tulle and threads pristine."

And there has been a substantial increase in tourism to Windsor Castle since the couple married this past May.

Windsor is now the UK?s most popular tourist attraction, thanks to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - Business Insider

Quoteor example, since the wedding took place in May, Windsor Castle's bookings have increased by a whopping 92 percent. Though really, this isn't a huge surprise for those who oversee tourism in the United Kingdom, including Patricia Yates, from VisitBritain.

I'm glad to see that Windsor Castle and St George's are receiving more tourists than ever before. Both deserve to be better known (they are real gems and contain so much of interest) and the town of Windsor will probably benefit too.

A nice choice for Meghan. Brides usually have something blue tucked away in their outfits on their wedding day. I wore a blue suit (female, not like Harry's Old Faithful) for my second wedding and a small gold and blue enamel and ring on the pinky finger of my right hand for my first marriage. It had been my mother's (dead by then) and served as a 'something old' as well.

TLLK

What a very sweet and romantic gesture to include the fabric as her blue.

A lovely way to bring the old and blue together for your second wedding @Curryong.

A Press Association photographer has won two awards for a lovely photo of Meghan walking down the aisle to meet Harry. Light from a window in the ancient Chapel shines on her.

The picture of Meghan the bride walking down the aisle was truly unique. I especially like the light also shining on part of her train.
