Phew. It's only 23C here now. The hottest temperature in London I suffered was 32C and that was too much much for my modem which stopped working.

I am a proud Canadian, new to the internet. And before you ask, I stumbled across your site, God knows where or how. I have been reading this site, off and on, for several months and, in comparison to several sites dealing with Royalty, find it to be a nice mix of cynicism, reality, and romanticism. I am a particular fan--hope I don't offend anyone--of Jmax, many of whose posts echo my sentiments, which is odd to be sure, given that I generally--well, now Im sure I will offend someone--disagree with Americans. But thats just part and parcel of being a Canadian, living next-door to a superpower. Makes one suspicious.

I am delighted to be part of your ongoing discussions, altho I rather doubt that I will be a frequent poster.-- My internet skills are very limited; I have no idea, for instance, how to use the many above symbols, and am not at all sure that I might want to.

Altho you haven't asked, I am neither a republican--Americans spend far too much time and money electing their presidents--nor a monarchist; I do dislike, however, being one of the Realm States, altho its less expensive. I guess Im looking for a third way, without much luck.
