King Charles and Queen Camilla host the Sovereign's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in celebration of the UK's creative industries. The Garden Party brought together approximately 4,000 representatives across culture, art, heritage, film, TV, radio and fashion. Amongst the attendees was Love Island's Maya Jama who spoke to His Majesty about the reality show. Report by Matthew Covell.

The King, The Queen and The Prince of Wales will attend events in Portsmouth on June 5th and Normandy on June 6th commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The Princess Royal, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Edinburghs and the Gloucesters will also be at events

Wow! It's incredible to realize that it will be eighty years since D Day. I am so pleased that the BRF will be participating in these events. There are so few remaining veterans from WWII, so I  hope that a few can be present at the ceremonies.

Supporting him are Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara and Mike Tindall and Peter Philips.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester are also present.

The Prince of Wales hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace on behalf of his father King Charles. The party also included his cousins Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall - accompanied by her husband, Mike - and Peter Philips. The Prince met representatives from a number of his and his wife's patronages and military affiliations.

It's so sad about the death of pilot Mark Long.  My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I'm glad to see HM King Charles out and about again, and he looks good.  I do hope he is recovering well and is healthy.

It's good to see the cousins stepping up to support William and the family, and they all looked fantastic.

I thought I had read that Catherine would not appear at the Trooping ceremony, but if she does, that would be wonderful, but only if she is up to it, of course.

The Emperor and Empress of Japan will pay a state visit to the United Kingdom from 25th to 27th June.

The King and Queen will host the state visit at Buckingham Palace but the imperial couple will not stay there because of the ongoing reservicing programme.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were given a loud applause by crowds in Portsmouth, after His Majest made a speech to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The King spoke about the importance of D-Day and how it shouldn't be forgotten - a message that resonated strongly with the people of this naval city.



The Prince of Wales has made a speech in front of war veterans at an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The Prince of Wales joined Their Majesties The King and Queen at the UK's national commemorative event in Portsmouth to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

During the event, The King and Queen and The Prince of Wales met veterans involved in the D-Day Landings.

His Royal Highness reads from the diary of
Captain Alastair Bannerman, a soldier
who was part of Operation Overlord.
