As the text of this article clearly shows, far from dragging in senior courtiers this is a usual request from one side's lawyers in a court case to see further emails. This is in reference to a bunch of said emails that have already been seen, sent between the Sun and the Palace regarding apologies from the rag and discussions in the Palace between Harry and the men in grey about pursuing the tabloid further. There were also mentions of the suggested compensation that may be given. However the emails already seen aren't complete. William has known about these exchanges for a long, long time.

I expected Harry to go on to the very end and make that newspaper organisation squirm no matter what the cost to his bank balance.

However this is a great result for Harry. A full and unequivocal apology from these rags like the Sun, for what they did to him (and countless others.

And he walks away with a full and substantial sum for damages as well, making it a happy day for him. He's likely to get in excess of ten million pounds in damages according to reports, probably more. A great result!

Well, the judge's remarks weren't addressed to Harry because he wasn't present. Mr Justice Fancourt became clearly frustrated with BOTH sides' lawyers about the delays. And Harry has settled after a grovelling apology to him by NGN so of course he's not going to revisit this case again.

However, Hacked Off, the British pressure group representing the victims of Murdoch and other newspaper moguls' information-gathering tactics, continue to press for an Inquiry, a second Leveson examination of newspapers in the UK.

As for Harry, he received a settlement and damages in the civil case against the Daily Mirror group a couple of years ago, and and is now to receive a handsome cheque from NGN to pay his legal bills, plus has received a full, and no doubt humiliating to the Murdoch empire, public apology from NGN, an acknowledgement of wrongs done to Harry and to Diana in the past. I would guess that Harry is a very happy boy today! And he has a case against the Daily Mail newspaper group next year. Guess the DM might well prepare another cheque!

Also Harry's uncle Earl Spencer has commented on the case.

Prince Harry's uncle and Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, shared his admiration for the Duke of Sussex's win on X. "It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on opponents like News Group Newspapers, and great tenacity to win," Spencer wrote. "And it's just wonderful that Harry fought for—and gained—an apology to his mother. She would be incredibly touched at that, and rightly proud.'

Hugh Grant and other campaigners like Lord Watson, the fellow plaintiff of Harry, who also received handsome settlements, have been requesting that the Met Police re-investigate what went on at the Sun in those years, in the light of admissions made in the apology to Prince Harry and Lord Watson. They are requesting information from the rag re transcripts. So the Sun may well be in some trouble again.

Well, Harry's visa documents have been unsealed in the case between the right wing Heritage Foundation and the Dept of Homeland Security that has been dragging on for a year. Heavily redacted documents aren't likely to give much pleasure to that so-called Think-tank, other than reveal that Harry, or more likely, his legal representatives, filed the correct information.

Still less happy will be all the media outlets and the tabloid Press that have been slavering in anticipation for months that Harry 'might be deported' 'Oh, oh, disgraced Prince Harry is going to be kicked out of the US!! We'll be able to get at least another hundred stories out of this and whether he's going to be forced back to the UK without Meghan or his children, tail between his legs." Oh, the disappointment of them all!

Well, actually everybody who has been closely following this case knew it would end as it has. Harry almost certainly travelled to the US on an A1 visa, granted to high diplomats and close relatives of HOS. So, sorry all illwishers of the Sussexes. No cigar for you this time. Just a gnashing of teeth in frustration, lol!

Prince Harry's bid to overturn UK protection ruling starts at Court of Appeal

Response from Buckingham Palace:

"All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion."

The response from the Home Office:

"We are pleased that the court has found in favour of the Government's position in this case.

"The UK Government's protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.

"It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals' security."

Well, Harry has lost his fight with RAVEC and the Home Office in the courts and the result of that, in the immediate future anyway, is that his children will not be going to visit their grandfather in the UK. That is a very sad state of affairs. The King quite obviously does not care about this, as he evicted the Sussexes from FC two years ago and has not spoken to his son for over a year.

If Harry's lawyers gave him false hope in this case (something even Blind Freddy could see was extremely unlikely to succeed) then that too is appalling. The true losers in this are the Sussex children, who seemingly will never get to  know their grandfather.
