King Charles III has phoned Israel's President Herzog and Jordan's King Abdullah II over his concerns about the terror attacks in Israel.

UK's King Charles appalled by 'barbaric acts' in Israel, spokesperson says | Reuters

QuoteLONDON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Britain's King Charles is appalled by the "barbaric acts of terrorism" in Israel, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said on Wednesday, following attacks by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

"This is a situation his majesty is extremely concerned about, and he has asked to be kept actively updated," the spokesperson said.

"His thoughts and prayers are with all of those suffering, particularly those who have lost loved ones, but also those actively involved as we speak."

Israel's death toll has reached 1,200 with more than 2,700 wounded, its military has said, during the Hamas militants' hours-long rampage after breaching the border fence around Gaza on Saturday.

Retaliatory strikes on the blockaded enclave have killed 1,055 people and wounded 5,184, Gaza's Hamas authorities said.

"His majesty is appalled by and condemns the barbaric acts of terrorism in Israel," the palace spokesperson said.

On Wednesday, the British monarch spoke to Israeli President Isaac Herzog and also Jordan's King Abdullah to personally express his concerns for those who were suffering.

Charles, 74, who has long called for inter-community dialogue and understanding, and for religious leaders to encourage followers to respect those of other faiths, became the most senior British royal to pay an official visit to Israel and the occupied Palestinian Territories in 2020.

Johnny Thompson to super Equerry now, so instead of his equerry Johnny leaving in 18 months, he will be sticking around to become Charles right hand man in all things.... Guess he is a hard worker and very loyal to the monarchy as he was also HM's no. 1 body guard and he has had a very promote place in all royal events since the passing of HM.  Yes, he is one very handsome ..devil....LOL.
