The King and Queen are leading a royal group at Windsor at a celebration of the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's First Folio, a copy of which is held in the royal library at the castle.

The First Folio, published in 1623, contains 36 plays, including 18 that would have been lost without its publication. Where would we be without The Tempest, Macbeth,The Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night,  As You Like It, and others?

How wonderful that Charles did this.  I went to something similar a few years ago here where I live, lots of people love Shakespeare. Some people were dressed up in period costumes which really sat the scene for the readings.

It's the birthplace of the author of Black Beauty - and is now home to Redwings, the largest horse welfare charity in the UK.

Lynn Cutress, Chief Executive of Redwings, said: "We feel very honoured that Her Majesty has chosen to visit us at Anna Sewell House in Great Yarmouth, which Redwings has been the custodian of since last year. It was a very unexpected telephone call!"

Such a fun morning at the annual Sandringham Flower Show, where King Charles came face to face with ''his royal pie-ness'' in one of the exhibitor's tents!
Queen Camilla spotted the pie and exclaimed: ''It looks just like my husband!'' and called him over to have a look 🥧

This caught my eye late, so Charles/Camilla love Shakespeare, well I'll be darn, right up the street from where I live is a small group of Shakespeare fans who give readings once a month which I attend. They are quite interesting and lively at times.  Even drinks are given to to those that do the readings...LOL

Charles always seems to have the biggest smile which goes from ear to ear when he is out among the people, his eyes actually light up.  He was born for this as he has shown us all these past decades.
