His Excellency Mr Bader Mohammad Al Awadi was received in audience by His Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the State of Kuwait to the Court of St James's.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan visited The King this afternoon.

The Queen Consort this morning planted a Cross of Remembrance in the Field of Remembrance at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Lord Davies of Gower (Lord in Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this afternoon upon the Arrival of The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and welcomed His Majesty on behalf of The King.

The King and Queen of Norway afterwards visited His Majesty.

The King gave a Reception at Windsor Castle this evening following the Platinum Jubilee at which The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Countess of Wessex, The Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Dame Martina Milburn was received by His Majesty at Buckingham Palace this afternoon upon relinquishing her appointment as Group Chief Executive of The Prince's Trust.

The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer) later had an audience of The King.

His Majesty gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening to recognise the contribution of small businesses to the economy of the United Kingdom at which The Earl of Wessex, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.

The Queen Consort this afternoon presented the Royal Academy of Dance Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award to Mr Mikhail Baryshnikov and held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Majesty this evening attended a Reception and Concert at St James's Palace to mark the Centenary of the London Chamber Orchestra.

The dancer and director, Mikhail Baryshnikov is presented with the Royal Academy of Dance's highest honour, the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award by Her Majesty The Queen Consort.

Baryshnikov defected from Russia in 1974 and is regarded as one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time.

The following members of His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms were received by The King this morning: the Lord Ashton of Hyde who delivered up his Stick of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Captain and the Baroness Williams of Trafford who received her Stick of Office upon her appointment as Captain of His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms.

The King was present at the Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for Mr Robert Kime which was held at St James's Church, 197 Piccadilly, London W1, this afternoon.

The Queen Consort this afternoon held an Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace for The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition.

I?m sure the people of NSW (and Queensland and Victoria) who have had homes, businesses and workplaces destroyed by flooding and its aftermath, will take time out from retrieving rotted carpets, ruined furniture and thousands of dollars worth of stock that had to be thrown away, to digest the message from Charles to his Australian subjects as they have their morning cuppa in community centres and the like.

Very kind of him I?m sure. (Btw I?ve posted quite a few reports here about our dreadful El Nina weather and floods over the last twelve months.) A donation from His Majesty to Aussie flood relief organisations or even the Salvation Army rather than kindly words and platitudes might come in handy at this time, though. Just saying.
