Adjusting the band inside that rests on the head.  Making sure all the jewels are attached tightly.  A good cleaning.   They certainly don?t want it to fall apart.  ER2 got away with it on her wedding day but fixing that tiara was fairly simple compared to StE crown

What did they mean by "adjustment" of the crown? Perhaps to check that the stones and pearls are secure. Surely they can't make it smaller or larger, but maybe replacing the ermine or adding more padding to it if it is too big.

The band inside is probably still a bit tight as the last person to wear the Crown was the late Queen. That can easily be adjusted though. It?s the weight of the thing that might be a problem. I bet the Queen, even though she was young and fit, had a sore neck for a couple of days in 1953 following the Coronation. However, if Charles has only to wear the Crown for an hour or two he will probably feel that?s OK.

Yes, I think the ermine, the jewels, will all be checked. Don?t want any baubles falling off underfoot, as happened in 1936 when one fell into a gutter as the crown was being transported on the top of George V?s coffin!

I?m more interested actually about what bits of the actual ceremony Charles and his committee are going to consider superfluous and unnecessary. At the moment I would put money on peers and their wives not wearing ermine trimmed robes, coronets, tiaras or gowns. Pages, male and female attendants may be cut down. The sermon, if there is one, will be very short imo, and the amount of music played will probably be halved. The actual anointing etc is likely to be kept as it is the essential core of the ceremony.

The King is so into music that I think there will be a fair bit. I think you are right about the peers - and the royal dukes all paid a part in the past, which can be eliminated. That might be the tactful thing to do considering Harry and Andrew's situations.  I love the pomp and ceremony, so I hope gowns and tiaras will be worn.

There was a Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Coloring Book.
Will there be a King Charles III Coronation Coloring Book?

Who knows, but I wouldn?t think so. Those colouring books were very 1950s, manufactured at a time and place when people believed the royal family, including the monarch, were faultless beings who could do no wrong. And children were brought up to believe in the myth.

Nightowl

That is sad as coloring books are fun and relaxing.  I have coloring books of butterflies, sit for about half hour just coloring and it helps to relax me from stress.  I got an interest in butterflies because of my ex father in law who was a world famous butterfly collector, he had thousands and thousands of butterflies from around the world......they are breathtaking indeed. There is a famous butterfly museum in Sarasota Fa that he gave his collection to when he past away. If I had known of HM's coloring book I would of bought it right there and then.  Coloring books are like doing needlework, peaceful time and easy to do while relaxing.

If King Charles III does not invite Prince Henry and Meghan to the Coronation, hopefully he will not be condemned for doing so.

^There is a book that I think King Charles needs to read, it is all about getting rid of the toxin people in your life regardless of who they are.  It is called *Learning to Love Yourself* By Sharon Wegscheider-Cruse. It is all about finding *your* self worth in life for you are important also in your own right.  Charles is a parent (like most of us) and he has a child who is an adult who is acting out with anger, hate and meanness towards him and the family......NObody deserves what Harry is going to his family, Charles did not abuse his son, did not deny him in life, he did his best under extreme circumstances when Diana died, Charles is not perfect as no one is, yet he made mistakes like we all do. What Harry is doing is ON Harry, not his dad. Harry is an adult and knows right from wrong, he is acting like a spoiled brat that he is for not getting his way with the *half in half out* that he and Meghan thought they could have.

Tell just how much more emotional and verbal abuse does one have to take from their child when they are adults in life?   Did Charles throw Harry in a dungeon (which he should at this point imho) or did he deny him Meghan........if anyone remembers Charles walked Meghan half way down the aisle on her wedding day and here his son is betraying him and the family for what????????????

I know all this from personal experience, in fact I was in Charles shoes (just not a royal family but a loving family) with someone who abused their family with unbelievable horror of lies and deceit for over 30 years, yep it took that long to help a member of my family and in the end....this book really set me straight in my life on what I needed to do to regain Me and I did just that.....someone did not like it yet it sure did work and help the situation.

Think I will buy another copy and send it to King Charles first class, registered return receipt requested...........

Who?s warning them? Oh, that?s right, puffed up with indignation, Tory MPs! Anybody told them lately that the Tories are about as popular as a spider in an ants nest with the people of Britain. Who knows, maybe they themselves will find out what being booed is like, lol!

And as for the lying rag this article appears in, The Sun, perhaps their journalists (if they can be called that) can point out where these ?deeply personal attacks? on William and Kate actually occur in the documentary. Because there aren?t any.

They have their opinions about Harry and Meghan in reference to the ''Coronation'', like top military brass too (in the DM).

IF the couple show up, it's only for their own PR. Both don't care one iota for the monarchy, the BRF.

Clearly, they have no love or esteem for the royal family, the Monarchy, or the country. It's logical to conclude that they won't consider attending his father's coronation.

It?s not up to William to ban anyone. He?s not King yet and may not be for another twenty or more years.

I know

Im sure tey will.  Harry will want to keep up some kind of pretense that he gets on with his family, when it suits him to do so.. and Charles wont wnat to cut him off
