That's wonderful to see the six royal ladies who are all senior working members of the BRF, sharing about the causes that they champion.

TLLK: I couldn't agree more. This is the news that interests and through which we learn there are always people in greater need than ourselves. Most of all they set an example of altruism.

Buckingham Palace has announced the changes ahead of next year The Trooping of the Colour, which has marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign for more than 260 years. It will take place on Saturday June 17 and will be His Majesty King Charles first as sovereign.

It's great to see The Princess of Wales receive an appointment. Been quite the year for William and Catherine.

Discussion related to the BRF Christmas has been moved to that thread.

It reminds me that there are a lot of positions to fill and not a lot of royals to fill them. If things had worked out better you would have had the Duke and Duchess of York as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I do hope the Gloucesters stay well and continue their roles. They are some of my favorites.

It's lovely to see so many members of the BRF present there today especially the late Queen's cousins.
Many of the guests opted for national dress too.

Buckingham Palace: "The King, Head of the #Commonwealth, the Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence will attend the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on 13th March".

@wannable-Thank you for the news. I'd forgotten that this was coming up in March and it's good to see so many members of the BRF will be attending the first Commonwealth Service without QEII.

King Charles to give first Commonwealth Day speech from the pulpit at Westminster Abbey ? Royal Central

QuoteKing Charles III is set to accomplish another first in his reign.

On 13 March, he will be giving his first Commonwealth Day address as monarch at Westminster Abbey.

Previously known as Empire Day, Commonwealth Day is held on the second Monday in March and celebrates the Commonwealth of Nations. A service is held at Westminster Abbey, and the monarch attends as the Head of the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth nations do not have ambassadors between nations, but rather have High Commissioners; the High Commissioners in London all attend the service.

In addition to diplomats, artists from different Commonwealth nations will attend and perform throughout the service. This year?s performers include the Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club, the Amalgamation Choir, an all-female choir from Cyprus, and Urukerereza, the Rwandan National Ballet.

King Charles will give his Commonwealth Day address from the Great Pulpit at Westminster Abbey. In 2022, the-then Prince of Wales gave an address on behalf of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who was recovering from illness.

The Commonwealth of Nations is now made up of 56 nations that span the globe. Combined, the Commonwealth has a population of 2.5 billion people, and over 60% of that population is under 30. The Commonwealth has made focusing on peace and prosperity, largely through climate action, a priority.

The theme of Commonwealth Day 2023 is ?Forging a Sustainable and Peaceful Common Future?. This is a particularly poignant theme, as 2023 has been made the Year of Peace in the Commonwealth. A new Commonwealth Flag for Peace will be displayed.

The Queen's  Green Canopy has come to its official end. The late QEII and Charles started the project. Now KCIII and William end it together by planting a maple tree at Sandringham.
