Prince Harry and Meghan were booed when a clip of their interview with Oprah Winfrey was shown in a montage of the best national TV moments at the NTAs last night.

The post about Piers Morgan was moved to this thread. I opened a new one for all the royal reporters, authors etc.. :) Figured since many of them certainly like the sound of their own voices and generate enough interest that they deserved a stickied thread of their own.

Why were they booed?

Why were they booed?

Probably because the celeb-filled audience had had some food and drink on a night out and were in a mood for booing. Piers Morgan was also booed.

Hardly suitable behavior.  We've all been mewed up at home , for literally over a year, and even now IMO people should be careful about social and business functions.. This isn't IMO that important an occasion, so you'd think that the attendees would make some attempt to behave sensibly and with decortum

Jon Kamen, chairman and CEO of media company RadicalMedia and the exec who joined the famous duo that day, told the Wall Street Journal how the prince met with the talk show host in secrecy to plan his Apple TV series on mental health.

Harry had secret meeting with Oprah director in London hotel room sneaking away from royal family

The timeline is consistent with other factual happenings, especially the legal ones that are bind to have a organization, foundation, company.

In other news, Andrew Morton has had a change of mind. Not writing an epilogue, but rather offering information to the media.

The Meghan Paradox: Royal author ANDREW MORTON explores how she preaches compassion, yet cast her own father into outer darkness and claims she's the victim of uncaring Royals, yet in truth was welcomed with open arms

The Queen knew that Harry intended to do a TV series on mental health with Oprah as Harry told her. It was later that it turned into a commercial deal. It?s the spin of the DM that uses the words ?sneak? and ?secret?. He saw Oprah at the hotel she was staying at because it was convenient for all parties. I suppose if Oprah had gone to Nott Cott the DM would have found out and started screaming again about Harry hanging out with US celebrities.

And considering Andrew Morton?s past it?s no wonder that he is running with the rest of the pack of journalistic wolves. Why hasn?t he stated this before, after the writing of his book on Meghan? He?s had plenty of time.

In an interview for his new book on racism, former England and Liverpool footballer John Barnes said the question about Archie's skin colour should not have been surprising and that most black people would say 'so what'. Meghan claimed earlier this year that an unnamed royal had questioned how dark Archie's skin would be during her pregnancy but the couple refused to reveal who it was only insisting it was not the Queen or Prince Philip. But Barnes said the question was 'realistic' and added that a lot of black people he knows are not fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but that racism 'has nothing to do with it'.

Even Meghan spoke about Camilla Tominey's breaking news, MM version

Markle asserted during her explosive TV sit-down with Oprah Winfrey last week that Middleton reduced her to tears over the flower-girl dresses

Thread reopened.  Please abide by the forum rules.  Discuss the topic, not one another.  If it gets personal the mod squad will not hesitate to close threads again, remove posts, send warnings.  And as I have snow here now, I will also throw snowballs at guilty parties.  In all seriousness, let?s work together to make this forum a nice, friendly place.  Merci.

Meghan is participating in an online summit in NYC.

QuoteMeghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has been hitting the phones, calling members of Congress to garner support for paid family leave in the United States.

?I just get the phone number, and I call and have a conversation,? she told Andrew Ross Sorkin at the DealBook Online Summit on Tuesday. ?People are pretty surprised, I think.?

Meghan?s outreach comes as Democrats have debated whether to include paid leave in a sweeping policy bill. The United States is the only rich country that does not have national paid maternity leave. The administration has met with business leaders to underscore the importance of paid family leave to the economy, with the share of women working for pay at its lowest level since 1986.

?This is one of those issues that is not red or blue,? Meghan said.

Ellen DeGeneres will interview Meghan Markle tomorrow.

Here is the trailer

A lot has changed since the last time Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, was on the Warner Brothers lot. Don?t miss the rest of our interview tomorrow.

Why?  So much for privacy.  And someone needs to tell her about too much exposure will have a negative effect on her thirst for fame.

wannable

She still has fans despite committing to perjury in a court of law.  Perhaps she doesn't care being a liar?

The ratings view will probably be above average with all sorts of people interest. Surely the media will watch to catch a lie.

Ellen's contract also ended, she's doing the pre notice period too.

I wonder when this was taped? Was it after last week's revelations about the couple's cooperation with the authors of Finding Freedom and their trip to NY/NJ?

PrincessOfPeace

Interesting choice for an interview. Both Meghan and Ellen have been accused of workplace bullying.

TLLK

Since it's Ellen I tend to think that this will be a light hearted  conversation between two Montecito residents. Hopefully the Sussexes' public relations and legal teams, have advised her to stick with topics such as her early life as an actress (as seen in the clip), the children, life in CA and charitable work.

wannable

Hopefully! Tomorrow we will get to know IF they discuss her future plans.

Which makes me think that this topic will not be part of their conversation.  :notamused:
