While I think that Charlotte and Louis will, as spares, naturally choose a profession (thank God)  rather than be expected to be working royals, I can?t see how the taxpayers won?t be involved in either of their weddings. That is, their first weddings. (The RF have experienced plenty of divorces, after all. Let?s be realistic, though hoping for the best for them.)

Charlotte and Louis are more likely to wed in their father?s reign than grandfather?s, so any gift of accommodation from the sovereign before or after they wed  will be carefully monitored by the media. God help them if anything has to be extensively renovated. The millions housing and wedding will cost for non working royals will appear in articles about them in the online tabloids.

And as for weddings they are likely to be at St George?s, as a monarch?s or grandchildren, complete with carriage rides and accompanying riders from the Household Cavalry. The security will cost many millions, just as it has nowadays, and I can?t see the RF covering the cost. So there is likely to be the same screaming from the Press about taxpayer cost that recent weddings have received.

The only way to prevent that would be that the nuptials take place privately inside Windsor Castle and forego the carriage rides etc.  I can?t see the Palace being happy with that arrangement. Nevertheless, that is how spares will lead their lives in the future. Of course, that is all contingent on there being a monarchy in Britain in another twenty to twenty five years.

For those who take note of such things, a photo of Harry and Meghan, taken when they were engaged, has been spotted on a side table in a prominent spot when the Queen had her first audience face to face with Boris Johnson after 15 months. So her relationship with her grandson still appears intact.

This does not surprise me at all. Both she and POW, no matter how upset they have been or are at the Sussex's betrayal, do not lash out at them. He is their beloved son and grandson and his wife also, by association.  Especially in light of emotional illness parents continue to love and support their children.

TLLK

I very much agree that HM would not remove family photos of the Sussexes. Nice that she has the engagement photos for the Sussexes and Cambridges on display next to a spectacular floral arrangement.

If I were Harry and Meghan, I'd still be angry, the picture is still hidden by flowers and obstructed by a chair. I'd demand the picture be in the round table side by side or in front of that of William and Kate.

He told Winfrey that he stopped getting financial support from his family in the 'first quarter'

Oxford Dictionary: First quarter, Q1: 1 January to 31 March

Harry received from Charles until June 2020 USD 3,054,697.80 or GBP 2,200,000
June 2020 is SECOND QUARTER

Oxford Dictionary: Second quarter, Q2: 1 April to 30 June

So debunked again.

You can congrats to Oprah now her next Emmy.
You can hear acceptance speech thanking MegHar gor speaking their truth and never wavering.
to being strong to encourageothers to speak their truth.

Lol. [edit]?

lol, what a sham.

Thing with the new catch phrase of psycho babble IS , your truth IS NOT NECESSARILY THE TRUTH.

Any, chuck up this Emmy nomination as an Emmy win for MegHar to keep at their house.
Maybe she can give it to them. Oprah has so many Emmys.

mod note: no swearing, please. Edited to remove swearing

Curryong

It?s a nomination for an Emmy. That doesn?t mean it will win. And the nomination process has nothing to do with the Sussexes anyway.

FanDianaFancy

I did not say that.
i know that.
I have been watching the Emmy awards since about, 1980.

I said this Emmy nom, chuck it up to an Emmy win. Mea meaning , I bet  Big O will win 🏆 it.
future tense.

There is 120 plus categories, apparently this one won't be televised. I think it should be, Oprah is Oprah.

The Washington Examiner is a Conservative news website, #2 after Washington Post which is Liberal.

So of course this is what they have to say about Oprah (Meghan and Harry). Not nice.

Quote
Oprah is one of the most influential women on the planet. Meghan Markle was the cunning Northwestern graduate who went from B-list cable supporting actress to marrying an underwhelming prince.

During their prime-time special, Oprah and the two former royals put on a hell of a performance ? one laden with so many emotional beats, rubs of carefully smudged eyeliner, and thoughtful hemming and hawing, that the Television Academy awarded them an Emmy nomination for outstanding hosted nonfiction special or series.

It's true that it was quite a special, perhaps deserving of an award, but it was anything but nonfiction.

Harry and Meghan fled the palace believing they would profit from the royal association while charting the post-White House path of the Obamas. Instead, they were deemed irrelevant, not only by the upper crust philanthropists they believed would beckon them, but also by a Hollywood elite that had already written off Markle once before. Oprah has already achieved a level of celebrity that few can dream of, but she too has developed a near neuroticism about protecting her image. After all, why would the multimillionaire television legend pull out of a documentary on hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons's alleged sexual predation? To preserve her clout among the circle of #auteurs such as director Ava DuVernay who rallied to smear said documentary as racist.

So it comes as little surprise that the near-septuagenarian superstar would fluff Harry and Meghan's images (or try to, anyway) in advance of her symbiotic business venture with the former, an Apple TV series about mental health.

So their interview, an overproduced blockbuster television special, hit all the right notes. Meghan batted her lashes just coyly enough as she accused her sister-in-law of weaponizing those dreaded white woman tears. She claimed the palace couldn't care less if she killed herself. Harry would have been believable enough if he had just committed to blushing to those ginger roots. But his blatant branding of his father and grandmother as crappy parents got the point across.

Ultimately, it was an acting performance. No matter how committed the acting or overwrought the dialogue, it just cannot beat the raw reality of the shadow princess looming large over Meghan and Harry's entire tableau vivant.

Meghan may be a comic actress, but she's no Diana. Meghan is a duchess on her second decade of trying to be a celebrity. Diana was a princess regarded by her people as the queen of their hearts. Charles was living his own fated fairy tale, just with the wrong woman and in the wrong century. Harry, in contrast, is the problematic window dressing, forced to condemn his own family, genetics, and mental state so as to be eaten last by the woke mob to which he pledged fealty.

The only true tragedy of this utterly predictable interview affair was Oprah's degradation. The tastemaker of more than a quarter century didn't have to sit through over an hour of two spoiled brats lying to her about everything from Prince Charles denying their son a title (he didn't) to their claim that the Archbishop of Canterbury granted them a secret wedding (he also didn't). But the best way to score points among our contemporary patrician class is to fluff their fellow privileged, self-styled country club oppressed. Oprah played along, holding up a literal prince and duchess as victims. Now she's up for yet another Emmy.

But at least Meghan is finally getting her shot at an Emmy. She really was always an underrated actress.

My opinion and prediction, Meg Harry will be presenters at Emmy awards receiving a standing ovation from L.A. Hollyweird woke crowd.

Megan, got to give her. Incredibly lucky and smart girl. A true American.
Seize opportunity and make opportunity.
From a C list actress, yes on a hit cable tv to wheeling and dealing with the right people in Canada to meeting Harry that very first time. A date arranged by a mutual friend of theirs. Timing was right. He was with no one.Tha was jus luck on Megan?s part. Pure luck. Just good luck. She took it from there.
Hook him. Get him.
Be who, what he wants and needs. A job. He was a job.
He accepted her. Love, you cannot make one falling love with  you, want you , or build a relationship.
Megan had luck here, fate.

To marrying him.Her worldwide, historical ticket to everything.

To now, Emmys presenter , standing ovation.
Before, she was not no where near invited to the Emmys.

Amazing is her rise. American ingenuity. Brillant moves.
Hate the game, but do not hate the player.
Wallis would be so proud.
She really got nothing.
Camilla did not do this well.

Brillant. Megan is a BRILLANCE .

Amabel2

I m not sure what a Brillance is - but there is nothing brilliant about Meghan

Harry is living life as a normal person. A normal multimillionaire.
Yes he is worried about money, must worry about money. He never had to before because all his needs and wants were paid for by Charles, Sovereign Grant, benefactors, etc.

Jennifer Lopez just private jetted out of Miami with her 2 kids to go somewhere. Her money. Her right. She paid for that jet. She has earned and is earning every dollar.
She has to pay for her children, taxes in every state where she owns property, corporate taxes as she is a corporation, security, private jets, childrens education costing probably around $100,000 for both children, household staff, business staff, law firm and accounting firms she hires, clothes costing hundreds of thousands, etc.
Henry falls in this line of living, but he and Megan do not sing, dance, act, play a sport, sell things , products. Jennifer  had a clothing line at Khols. She now has a shoe line at DSW. She has a deal designing  handbags with Coach. This is all hers on her by her to her public made by her from her notoriety..
THUS is why months n months before Nov 2019, MegHenr had patented Sussex, D/D Sussex, Royal Sussex etc for pens, pads, clothes, cookware, everything and anything, but QE pulled all that back because MEGHAN N HENRY do not own it. They also stabbed QE again by saying she does not own the word, royal.

Henry n Meg claim is throwing out nastiness at QE and BRF.
That inturns gives them fame. That fame gives them Netflix , Spotify, but they have to bring it to get viewers. Netflix , etc is not going to keep them because of D-D titles.
Where are the ratings?
Bridgerton pulled in 82 million viewers worldwide, however next season, look for less, far less. .Season 3, less than season 2. I predict 3 seasons will be it.
Netflix needs ratings per show, movie, etc.
MegHenry need an audience, fans, a following.

Dianas money is not lasting forever. CA house must cost about $10,000 a month. Security. Cleaning staff, etc.

Harr n Megan did the right  and what she wanted which was leave. He wanted it too. They are free to live their lives .
This is a different life from how he was raised.
Oh, money worries. Ex. TDM posted an article  that CaroleMikes company has had big profit loses. Yes, people have not had parties needing decor from their company during Covid virus.

.
They seem to be earning money at the moment, and may be making hay while the sun shines while planning and experimenting for the future. There seem to be non stop new ventures or funding schemes. But their spin is also about philanthropy, which is strange if they are truly concerned about money.

The Philanthropy is part of teh money making...  They dont just want to make a fortune they want praise for being "good people" as well...

I am always amazed at how quickly Lifetime can produce a film even during a pandemic.

Presume they're not bothering about social distancing in these films?

Princess Cassandra

"Escape the Palace"? I suppose I will watch, but I hope it isn't just the same old drama.

TLLK

Not surprisingly there are some mixed opinions on the film.

QuoteHowever, plenty of other viewers were full of praise. As one fan wrote: "I liked the movie Meghan & Harry: Escaping the Palace. It was very well told on the struggles and paying a very lovely tribute to the late Princess Diana."

QuoteWhile audiences didn't waste a second to get stuck in, it seems that they were pretty divided when it came to giving their verdict. Taking to Twitter to discuss, one viewer wrote: "Watching @Lifetime Harry & Meghan movie and well... if I wasn't laughing I'd be crying, it's that terrible."

Okay who has access to the film and plans to watch it?
