I'm being told it's a damage control situation helping Ukraine visit. 

As apparently Wimbledon, AELTC and the LTA took unilateral decision of banning the Russians and Belarussian players to participate in the 3 events this summer.  Meaning they broke the 'discrimination' rule and the 'ranking' rule. Both the ATP and WTA have already pronounced against the AELTC (Wimbledon) and the LTA.  I smell the 15 plus players and the ATP/WTA suing.

Today as in Today London time, Wimbledon chiefs are using Kate the patron as the ''fall guy''.  Telegraph has an article.
