Both ladies' dresses are drop dead gorgeous, and the picture of the four of them is very nice.  I know I've seen that necklace before...I think it belonged to the Queen Mother and is versatile - it has up to five strands. If it is the one I am thinking of, I think this smaller version is great with the dress.

@Princess Cassandra - This site typically has all the information on the jewelry of the BRF.

From Her Majesty's Jewel Vault: The Duchess of Cornwall's Pear Drop Diamond Demi-Parure

QuoteAmong the signature pieces in the collection of The Duchess of Cornwall is this demi-parure (matched set) of a diamond necklace and earrings. Each earring has a cluster of pear shape diamonds dangling in a long row, with perhaps one round diamond at the stud (always difficult to see the details on her earrings, because of her hair), for a total of 11 large diamonds apiece. The necklace features oval/marquise diamonds in an orderly arrangement of stacks of two diamonds separated by single diamonds on the necklace base and a series of pear drop diamond pendants that alternate between small and large sizes.

 Yes they are indeed.

Camilla's dress would have been better in a solid color.  I don't think it is that great, it looks too Night Gown like.

She usually has a solid color in a jewel tone, navy, white, or black, but I like this one because it is so different from what she usually wears. It also coordinated nicely with the beautiful dress worn by the mayor's wife.  Another thing I noticed is that it fits extremely well and flatters her figure more than most. So I was very happy to see this dress!

Not surprised to see that Camilla found the time to meet with the young women at the shelter as she has made a priority of supporting women especially those faced with domestic violence.

QuoteCamilla, 71, was also in Munich where she met young women at the IMMA shelter. The purpose of the IMMA initiative is to better the situation of girls and young women.

@royalanthropologist -Hope that you enjoy this site.

Princess Cassandra

Yes, she's quietly and steadily supported women's causes - some of them, like rape, are ones that are difficult to discuss. However, she is matter of fact and sensitive about them at the same time.

Some of you might already have seen that I had the great honour of meeting The Duchess of Cornwall and The Prince of Wales today.
So, first things first. Here?s the most amazing picture ever (taken by the lovely Arthur Edwards ♥ as all pictures that will follow)! Camilla and Tanja side by side:

So, how did it all start?
As soon as I saw that Camilla and Charles were coming to Germany, I was sure I had to go. My friend @kriiistiiieee and I booked Leipzig in Mid-March and well, obviously, I had to write her that I was coming.
Exactly one week ago I received an invitation from the British Embassy - at Camilla?s request! I was asked to be present for the book signing at the old town hall. As you can imagine, I was absolutely over the moon.
When Kristina and I arrived today everyone was so lovely and kind, it was incredible. The first known face we saw was Arthur and we were so excited- I mean, who dosen?t love Arthur Edwards? Moments later Charles and Camilla walked past us and Camilla and I were sharing a smile. Then they signed the visitor?s book and I had a moment to talk with Belinda from Camilla?s team, she was so lovely as well.
As soon as the books were signed Camilla went over to me!!! You can probably imagine how happy and excited I was. Camilla was wonderful and she even introduced me to Charles, who knew about my blog as well. He actually told me that I was ?very kind? and had done ?a lot of good things?. Charles then joined a student group, but Camilla still stayed a while to talk to Kristina and me. We were introduced to her press team, which was great!
When I asked her for a photo she didn?t hesitate, introduced me to Arthur and, well, he did take some lovely photos.

Camilla did even have a small present for me in my favourite colour, which was so thoughtful of her.
I cannot believe today actually happened. Of course, I always day-dreamt of meeting her, but I never thought it was ever going to be a real thing. Camilla was so incredibly kind and nice and so beautiful. I always heard people gushing about how she was even prettier in real life and how she was able to put people at ease. Well, she is even prettier in real life and she?s an amazing human being, she just lights up everything.
Today has been the best day of my life and I?m so thankful she took the trouble and time to see me and to talk to me. She really is the best person in the world and I shall remember today all days of my life. I never thought I?d be able to love her even more, but I do. I?m enchanted more than ever and I feel so honoured and blessed.
It?s still a lot to take in and if this is all a little messed up or too long or whatever, I?m sorry. But I still haven?t grasped today. I probably won?t for quite some time.
I just love her. I always will.
Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall

Very true that these types of subjects have been even considered "taboo" in the past. Glad to see that Camilla is taking these to heart and typically will visit at least one women's shelter when she's on an overseas visit.

QuoteWhile our politicians fight it out with the Eurocrats, they can act as neutral ambassadors reminding the world of our commitment to global relationships, freedom and democracy.

I admire President Trump's tough stance on China and Iran, but I bet many Americans would welcome our separate head of state, Her Majesty the Queen, and her family, who can turn on the charm and remind the world of all the good things America has brought to it.

A constitutional monarchy, with its non-party political head of state, is a good balancing act that enables us to put Britain first and yet also underlines our long history of trading and generally benign influence on the rest of the world.

Prince of Wales set to attend Emperor Naruhito of Japan?s enthronement ? Royal Central

Quotehe Prince of Wales will attend the enthronement of Japan?s Emperor Naruhito in October representing Her Majesty The Queen at the request of the government. He will also undertake an official visit to the country after the ceremony where he will have several engagements in Tokyo.

The Enthronement Ceremony will take place on 22 October, and it will mark the end of the transition period and will be a holiday in the country. Emperor Naruhito took the throne upon the abdication of his 85-year-old father, Akihito earlier this year. Akihito is now known as the Emperor Emeritus after he gave up the throne on 30 April 2019. Naruhito ascended as the new Emperor of Japan a day later.

The two-day official visit, beginning on 22 October, is set to celebrate the connections between Japan and the United Kingdom.

This will be the Prince of Wales?s fifth trip to Japan. He was last in the country in 2008.

Emperor Naruhito?s enthronement will not be the first for Prince Charles, as he was also present at the enthronement of Naruhito?s father in 1990.

It is not yet known which other European royals will attend the Enthronement Ceremony. US Vice President Mike Pence and Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan are scheduled to attend.

Curryong

I'm sure other royals, perhaps heirs, will attend the ceremony. Perhaps the Scandinavians. This should be very interesting for Charles as this will be his second enthronement ceremony. In fact IMO it will be fascinating all round, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing these engagements.

This will be Charles' second Imperial Enthronement attendance. He and Diana both attended Emperor Akihito's 1990 enthronement ceremony.

Royal news: Prince Charles to visit Japan to witness historic moment ? find out why | HELLO!

QuoteThe Prince of Wales will embark on a two-day trip to Japan to attend the ceremony of enthronement of Emperor Naruhito this autumn. Charles, who is going on behalf of his mother the Queen and is undertaking the official visit at the request of the British Government, will be in Tokyo from 22 to 23 October. The ceremony will take place over several days with banquets attended by thousands of guests, including many other foreign royals and dignitaries.

Charles' whirlwind trip will also include a day of engagements in Tokyo to celebrate British-Japanese connections, Clarence House said. The Prince has been to Japan four times before, having last visited in 2008. He attended the ceremony of enthronement of Emperor Naruhito's father, Emperor Akihito, on 12 November 1990 with Princess Diana. Further details of the trip will be announced in due course.

@Curryong-Yes I believe that we'll see other heirs to the throne in attendance at this event as per tradition, reigning monarchs do not attend these types of ceremonies. :Jen: :windsor1:

Current adult heirs to throne (besides Charles) who will likely receive an invitation and attend: Denmark-CP Frederik, Norway-CP Haakon, Sweden-CP Victoria, Luxembourg-HGD Guillaume, Lichtenstien-HP Alois, and Jordan-CP Hussein. It's possible that their spouses would attend as well.

It is possible that other royal houses with heirs who are too young to attend might send another adult representative such as a monarch's adult sibling ie: NL-Prince Constantijn, Belgium-Princess Astrid.

wannable

It will be interesting. I saw lovely pictures and videos when C&D went 1990.

Gert's Royals will be notifying via twitter as soon as guests officially make announcements of attending and who.
