The royals don't throw confetti, (it's not allowed near St George's, and most UK churches frown on the practice anyway nowadays, too much mess) there is no doubt at all IMO that a deal has been done with the caterers chosen about the price of the food served, and I do not believe that any of the performers at the wedding ceremony or reception would charge full fees. I'm always surprised that someone writes these articles. The BRF do not typically have infants at weddings. Actually having the wedding at WC does make it easier for mother and newborn to be closer to each other.

The Queen had several semi-disasters happen to her on her wedding day. Some part of her tiara snapped and was subject to instant repairs by the Royal jeweller who was on hand. A footman shoved the bouquet of flowers into a cupboard to keep the blooms fresh and nobody could find it for a long time, and Elizabeth forgot her necklace of the inevitable pearls. An aide had to rush back to BP to get them. Apparently he was so frantic that he grabbed the nearest car. A man who was getting out (at the Abbey) happened to be the King of Norway, and he good naturedly said to him something like 'Young man, you are welcome to the car but allow me to get out of it first!' I very much doubt it. Unity Candles aren't part of the Anglican tradition. And it's more an American custom than a British one anyway. Meghan is American but her wedding ceremony will follow the Anglican ceremony and Royal wedding custom.

We don't know that Meghan has ever asked for a Unity Candle for this wedding, inquired about having one, expected one or even thought about one. As far as we know she didn't have one for her first wedding.

As for Meghan learning about things to do with Royal weddings, she has been instructed and mentored by the head prelate of the Church of England, the Archbishop of Canterbury, and has been baptised and confirmed into the Church of England.

As well as that there were reports that Harry and Meghan have been seen around St George's in the last couple of weeks. Afterwards, it was said, they have had tea/dinner with the Dean of Westminster who is in charge of the Chapel. I'd say that if Meghan doesn't know by now what goes on at Royal weddings in Anglican Churches she would have to be extraordinarily stupid. As she isn't stupid, I'd say she knows!

From all accounts Meghans father is Episcopalian the American Anglican Church and part of the COE. As a member myself there is no lighting of a unity candle and I am sure Meghan is aware of this. Most Expats join the church here and in my own church it was more British than American and all the traditions upheld.

Yea!! My hunch was correct that this would be the open carriage used if the weather is clear and sunny. Edward and Sophie used the same landau for their carriage procession.  I thought that there would be an enclosed one available for the couple if it rained, but I wasn't sure which of the smaller, maneuverable ones would be used.

The Windsor Greys are beautiful and I hope that the weather cooperates so that they can use the Ascot Landau. :)
