On Thursday, Queen Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth spent their last day in Egypt.

They visited the Dayr al-Barsha site where researchers from Leuven University are conducting excavations. Queen Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth met with professors and students who are currently excavating and researching the site. Dayr al-Barsha is one of the 5 active sites in Egypt where Belgians are conducting excavations in cooperation with Egyptian authorities.

Former King Albert of Belgium (89) was hospitalized this morning for dehydration. He is undergoing tests at the hospital. And the palace has said it is a ?precautionary measure.?

His son, King Philippe has canceled his meeting at University of Ghent today. And other royals have visited King Albert in the hospital.

Belgium Palace said King Phillipe cancelled his engagement and meeting but he rushed to his father?s hospital kept private business and private matters for Belgium royal family
