QuoteFans of the late Princess of Wales may be hoping to see more of her iconic jewels on the Duchess of Sussex. Has she inherited more?

Jewellery expert Charlotte White, head of design at 77 Diamonds, does not believe Meghan has inherited any other jewellery than the pieces mentioned above.

She told Express.co.uk exclusively: "Given Meghan?s readiness to embrace Diana?s legacy and fondness for some of her pieces, it is a difficult question whether Meghan has inherited anything else from Diana.

"On the one hand, she has not publicly displayed reluctance to use her late mother-in-law?s pieces.

I believe that Meghan has selected the items from her late mother-in-law's personal collection that suited her contemporary taste ie: the aquamarine statement ring, the gold bracelet with blue stones (lapis lazuli?) and the butterfly earrings with the blue stones. (I don't see her wearing the matching choker necklace with the butterfly.) Or she's considering having any other pieces that are in her possession redesigned. As we know, Meghan's engagement ring does have stones from Diana's collection and they may have been used when the ring was enhanced with additional diamonds.  I simply cannot see Meghan who has displayed a very minimalist style wearing some of Diana's 80's and early 90's pieces.

As we were veering more into a discussion about Diana's jewelry and what happened to it after her death, I've split the topic and moved it to Diana's forum. Please continue the discussion in that thread. Thank you

Meghan Markle news: Prince Harry's wife has 'not inherited' more Princess Diana jewellery | Express.co.uk

I am curious about why would Meghan inherit any of Diana's jewelry as Diana did not even know she existed?  If Harry had any of his mother's jewels then I would like to think he gave them to his wife, Meghan.  Meghan could not personally inherit any jewels from Diana ever.  Whatever the boys got or took from the collection of this mother is on them, not anyone else. And we really don't know who got what as it has never been published that I know of.   The Express is imho just trying to create ill and bad feelings for they know nothing more than we do.

A very strange headline as of course Diana never met either daughter-in -law. IMO it was just a way to earn clicks. So of the pieces that Meghan has been seen wearing they appear to be her preferred contemporary style in gold.

So sorry, TLLK. I had only just finished my long post and posted it when I saw your notice. Could you Please move it to the Diana thread? Very sorry!

But as usual, with Meghan?s jewellery, they include her engagement ring (with a guestimate as to the ?price? of course, as well as many of the other pieces.) They used to do this regularly with her clothes and jewellery aiming at her so-called extravagance.

Since when have pieces like engagement and eternity rings been snidely focused on in royal photos? Does the Fail inevitably write down the value of Kate?s engagement ring at every appearance or Camilla?s or the Queen?s jewellery? No.

Just a continuation of the ?they live in an 11 million dollar mansion? that appears in every tabloid article on Harry and Meghan. No mention of course of the value of Anne?s country estate. The clickbait from all these articles has been keeping them in business for the past four years.

I think it's great for the jewelry thread (and when the DM or specialized accounts do the clothes too).  There's a market for people who like seeing (and purchasing too) clothing shoes and accessories. Sometimes famous people do influence the fashion department.  Related, the history and point of the MET gala is that, although most of the dressed up people look wacky.

Celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz fashioned the piece out of a gift of diamonds that the couple received from the Middle East.

Multiple sources have confirmed that the gift initially arrived for Harry, but that the Duke of Sussex then gave it to his wife, who turned to Schwartz to rework them.

Schwartz also turned the same set of diamonds into stunning convertible earrings with the same exquisite emerald cut, which Markle wore to the 2019 Trooping the Colour ceremony as simple studs.

From  the fashion blog site "Meghan's Mirror" here's the summary of what the site believes were her outfits and jewelry for the Time photoshoot. (Not going to lie, I miss The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor as I preferred their write ups for fashion and jewelry coverage.)

Day 1 and 2 Meghan is wearing Autumn/Winter clothing. I've read/seen fashion critics, basically NYC weather 80 degrees end of summer, followed by the 'cost'.  I feel for her, IMO she is covering the baby weight gain.

I love the colour red on Meghan, hate neutrals/monochrome anyway. She may be still nursing (probably left bottles for Lili back in California)  and is wary of leakage perhaps. In normal circumstances I love her in bright coloured dresses, not so fond of the wide-legged pants.

wannable

True about the nursing. I find the critical fashion articles were bordering to body shaming. So I decided to add what I think are the best pictures available and Meghan's Mirror which of course is 100 percent support and MM fashion fan page.

I think I will use only the MM blog in this fashion thread. Note: That blog is all good, it's only fashion. No cray stuff like the Kaiser Celeb blog.

The red is pretty, yet why is it being called a coat? It is more of a jacket than a coat which is full length. I recently bought a jacket similar to that in redwood, a new color for fall.  Short jackets seem to be in style this fall in very pretty colors.

TLLK

Meghan should consider adding more items in this color to her wardrobe. It looks wonderful on her.

Well, nobody can object to Meghan?s outfit at the Global Citizen concert as being unseasonable here. I think she looks lovely in her white dress; hair and makeup and shoes perfect.

I think the fit could be better. But yes she's at least ditched the heavy coats.

It looks from this that Meghan is, as wannabie previously suggested, still carrying some post-baby fat from Lili?s birth. And if she?s still nursing the fit around the chest area could be problematic as well.

TLLK

Yes she is likely still nursing and  is dealing with an ever changing postpartum figure.

I have to admit that after the Oprah interview I can't look favorably upon her, but honestly, it probably was not apparent that the outfit was so expensive. Anyway, she would be expected to dress well for that event.
