Princess Viktória climbs down the wishing well

On Monday, Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma took a trip to De Efteling amusement park in Kaatsheuve, the Netherlands. Here, she met with officials from Save the Children Netherlands as well as children from the local primary school Kinderboom.

Besides being patron of Save the Children Netherlands, the 32-year-old Princess, born Viktória Cservenyák, is the wife of Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma, first cousin of King Willem-Alexander.

In De Efteling, Princess Viktória unveiled a plaque before heading towards a huge wishing well. Like many other places around the world, bypassers throw coins in the well, granting them a wish. This particular well benefits Save the Children. Once a year, the well is emptied and the coins collected.
