The Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at Wimbledon, she will be later joined by the Duchess of Sussex.  Kate went early to have lunch at site with some junior tennis players.

Congratulations to Simona Halep, what a out of this world game and an excellent interview to both Serena and the winner.

Meghan has just left the RB, Kate and Pippa (seen in ESPN TV) have stayed for the finals of double men; France versus Colombia.

What a terrific display of support for Meghan from Kate and Pippa. One British tabloid newspaper headline today says, ?the feud is over? - unable to admit that perhaps its reports of a feud were inaccurate.

^ Quite, I thought the KP team's strategy is/was Spot On, completely accurate, so kudos to them...three is company, three is a charm, three is a magic.

I still think the "feud" was a press creation.

I don't care for the invented feud.  Today I feel very happy that Kate and Meghan thoroughly enjoyed each others company, including Pippa, it may be excellent, a new friendship for both ladies and vice versa.

I am baffled with the replies to Kier Simmons tweet with picture/video proof of the 3 ladies chatting, laughing and clearly having fun.  Some of the Sussex fans loved him, highly regarded him.  The dislike of/they have towards Kate (and Pippa) they just black listed him, including their fan squad leader.  I hope it's momentarily or that Kate and Meghan can do some duty outings together, I think that was great positive media.

Congratulations to Simona Halep on her Ladies' Singles Championship victory. Congratulations to Serena Williams on her second place finish. The duchesses and Pippa Matthews appeared to really enjoy today's match. Love their summery dresses and Meghan's separates. Catherine again wore her Wimbledon ribbon.😊

It was a DOC official visit, announced by KP and in the CC.  Therefore, there was/is a protocol to follow...

Time will tell if Pippa will be the Annabel Elliot 2.0 of Kate or a LIW.

Pippa did very well (she channeled the exact behavior of the Queen's LIW), nothing to write, almost invisible until they take a seat, translate that no Wimbledon official whispers or a Sports reporter there saying she was interrupting or whatever Kate's initial going early; meeting officials, junior tennis players and the lunch.

All in all, what a great day for the threesome.  Here Hoping all goes well for both official events tomorrow of the DOC and DOS (another Wimbledon and the Lion King)  :blowkiss:

Blue Clover

I think the show of unity today was great for the BRF! I'm happy that this meeting dispelled all rumors of a feud. Well-done Meghan and Kate!

Kate might be patron of the All England club but that doesn't mean she's in charge of who sits in the Royal Box, or foe what the arrangements are for other royals, and just because Meghan sat next to Kate doesn't mean she was under Kate's superintendence. I'm sure that it was arranged among the sisters in law as it was known that both were going to the Ladies Final and then the Wimbledon officials were informed and made the arrangements.

As for Pippa being regarded by Kate as a potential L-in-W, she and her sister have been to Wimbledon loads of times, with friends and in family parties. There's nothing unusual about it. It wasn't exactly a novelty for Pippa to be in the Royal Box (nor was it the first time for Meghan.)

Kate is not in charge, it's Mr. Brooks by request from the Duke of Kent and Duchess of Cambridge, the rest he allocates as he deems appropriate.

BUT Meghan was Kate's guest. Said by the official KP, and look Sussex Royal Instagram.

Denim-free Meghan wins the Centre Court style final in a tiebreak with Kate, writes LIZ JONES | Daily Mail Online
It seems so shallow to talk about their clothing, but since this was posted I'll put in my two cents' worth. I don't think Meghan won the Centre Court style final. The style and cut of the skirt and blouse did not suit her at all. On the other hand, the color of Catherine's dress would be more fitting for spring or fall - light colors are best for summer. Of the three sitting together, Pippa Mathews looked best and won the Centre Court style final. More importantly, it was great that they were all together and seemed to enjoy each other's company.

I thought so too, but after reading Patrick Jephson article, where he states that Royals going to Wimbledon, a public arena, where there is Live TV, millions around the world watching, and professional and random public taking pictures of the tennis players, celebrities and royals...I opened my eyes and definitely wear smart looking clothing.  Meghan's style is interesting and different (yesterday, the jeans look of previous week I didn't like at all) Wimbledon is the oldest competition ever, and the game was invented by the English.

The dresses were ill fitting on both Meghan and Kate. Kate's dress was too tight and since Meghan is still losing baby weight she might have chosen something more figure flattering. I think Pippa is rather dull in her choice of wardrobe. Just my take.

FINAL DAY

Meghan is a royal unlike Pippa. I am not sure if she would have had to be invited by Kate. Maybe HM gave permission for Meghan to be in the royal box.

I agree @Princess Cassandra that Poppa's outfit was the best that day. Catherine should retire the green dress IMO though she likely wanted to give a nod to the club colors. I like Meghan's skirt but I am not sure if it was the best look for her. Her olive tent dress was one of her better looks recently.
Again it was great to see the ladies enjoying the match and it was a nice gesture on Catherine's part to invite Meghan and Pippa to the Ladies' Championship and Doubles' Championship. Sorry for Serena as it must have been frustrating to lose again. Equally surprising when yesterday's wunderkind is now in the same place as the veterans before her ie: Steffi Graff.

OMG a FIVE HOUR Men's final!!!

Folks must have got sunburnt in that Mens' Final!  I am sorry for Serena, also. Clearly she felt the loss keenly. She missed Billie Jean King's point, but hopefully as she puts the loss behind her and thinks about what Ms. King said she will realize that it wasn't meant to be cruel.  I think BJK wants Serena to be successful and was sorry for the loss as well.

Curiosities: Those large pearl Swedish earrings, she has only worn it 3 times, all at the same date, 14th July, Princess Victoria of Sweden's birthday.  The first time she wore them was during their Scandinavian tour, and since then, every 14th of July.

They will open as a prelude to Cowes Week, which is quintessentially British thing to do/go during summer since 1920, it's the most important economical week for the Isle of Wight. Approx. 1.3 to 1.5 Million visitors, the entire Cowes turns into a huge festival.  After the DOC's King's Cup, during the week there is usually pro and amateur regatta races; 800 boats, 1000 competitors.  People can do day trips or stay (although by end of June, usually it's sold out).

Land Rover is sponsoring the DOC's regatta (and their 8 chosen charities for this year) and apparently have signed up for years to come.

The King?s Cup: the celebrities joining William and Kate ? Royal Central

QuoteThe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be joined by six well known faces for the King?s Cup regatta which takes place on the Isle of Wight next week. Adventurer Bear Grylls and double Olympic rowing champion, Helen Glover, are among the ambassadors at the race supporting a wide range of charities.

Eight boats will take part in the regatta representing charities chosen by William and Kate. The Duke of Cambridge has selected Child Bereavement UK and he?ll lead their team. His other picks are Centrepoint which will be represented by England football international Fara Williams, Tusk whose boat will be led by Bear Grylls and the London?s Air Ambulance Charity which will welcome historian and author, Dan Snow, to its crew.

Kate has chosen four organisations for the event, as well. The Duchess of Cambridge will lead the boat for The Royal Foundation. Her other selections include Action on Addiction whose team will include comedian John Bishop. TV presenter, Kate Thistleton, will be part of the crew representing Place2Be while Helen Glover will join the boat for the Anna Freud Centre.

William and Kate announced the King?s Cup race for their chosen charities back in May. The event, which takes place on Friday August 9th 2019, will include a number of races with the teams taking to the water in Fast-40 boats, described as high performance boats with crews of 12 people. The winners will be presented with the King?s Cup on the afternoon of the race. The cup itself was first presented in 1920 by King George V, a keen sailor.

Spectators wanting to see the action will be able to access the SailGP Race Village for free on the day of the event while waterfront activities are also planned.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are hoping that the King?s Cup will become an annual event supporting different charities and raising awareness of the benefits of sport.
