Di's Brother Joins War of Notting Hill Yummy Mummys

Last month, mummy-wars erupted in swanky Notting Hill after two schools clashed over the lease of a new site.

Now an avalanche of angry letters has arrived at Kensington and Chelsea Council  from high-profile parents, including Princess Diana's brother Earl Spencer, Notting Hill screenwriter Richard Curtis and his partner Emma Freud, and film producer Tim Bevan's wife, Amy.

The posse of celebrity protesters at Notting Hill Preparatory School is fuming over the council's decision to grant a 20-year rental of a £2 million-a-year site, on the same road as their children's school, to Alpha Plus, a rival school group, which won the bidding war.
