The Cambridges reveal that they've taken the children to the Lake District for short breaks. William stated that it is similar to what Charles chose to do with  he and Harry when they were on school breaks.

Kate and William love to take George, Charlotte and Louis on holiday to the Lake District

This sounds like a wonderful opportunity for the Cambridge children to explore their country and take advantage of the hiking and exploring in the iconic English Lake District which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. :)

I also have found it interesting how  the British school  year differs from the traditional American school year. The British school year is 190 days with various breaks throughout the school year which are taken in each season. One big difference is that British school children are in school for a longer period in the summer than their American counterparts. The Wessex and Cambridge families typically do not have engagements planned when their children are on school breaks.

The traditional American school year is 180 days with a long summer break and longer ones at Christmas/Easter and for national holidays.

I come from Ireland and when I was a kid, the summer holidays were quite long.. but we only had abut a week for Chirstmas and Easter.  In england, the summer holiday is only abuot 6 weeks, July to September. I think they get a bit longer for easter and Chrirstmas.

Twitter video of the DOC's arriving KP from Cumbria via helicopter.   There is a cute shout at the end of mama mama, I think its Prince Louis.

Today is day 1 of this 2nd showcasing of her Back to Nature garden (the 3rd will be around September), its also day 1 of Wimbledon.  She will go to both, the Wimbledon, I've noticed a pattern with the Duke of Kent who is the President, whilst she is the Royal Patron; he has bigger priority and goes, whilst she is 1 or 2 game appearances behind, giving him the obvious priority.

It's twice the size and she's hosting a picnic for the Kids (2 from each of 3 patronages, total of 6 kids), so this event will probably take about 3 hours.

The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex will take part in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day at Billingbear Polo Club on Wednesday 10th July. The match will raise funds for charities supported by Their Royal Highnesses.

Great way to raise money, but what amazes me is that they can ride so well when they don't get constant practice in the saddle!   Here they are in a rugged sport where 80% of the time they are in the two-point position, which is so hard on the legs and back. They MUST have some practice time on a regular basis, but we never hear of it.

I believe that Charles and then his sons belong(ed) to the Royal Berkshire polo club near London. It's private and very exclusive and William and Harry probably practise there when they can. Harry apparently intends that his son will play polo in the future as he's spoken of it when he was presented with the minature mallet for Archie when he was in Rome playing recently.

Good to hear that they'll be participating in this charity event. I recall that both stated they'd be curtailing their polo/charity games in 2019, so I'm glad that at least one match was scheduled.

That is a hefty list of beneficiaries from just one event!

Did you think there would be?

Not much, no, only because all the RR's there witnessed Prince Louis running all over the grounds, Kate behind him.  But there were instances that both mothers shared time under the tree shade/where their cars were parked.
