Spectre of Harry as hostage--New Zealand Herald
QuoteAs 15 members of the Armed Forces arrived back in Britain from their captivity by Iran's Revolutionary Guards, the officer already named by leaders of the Iraqi insurgency prize as the man they most want to capture is preparing to leave for Basra.

I seriously would rather have Prince Harry walk away from the Military than step foot into Iraq.

I understand that feeling-- I'm torn. Its good that Harry is willing to do what so many other men and woman are doing. It is honorable really. However, I can see the press having a feild day if someone in his 'group' (what are they called?) is captured because of him. Not to mention that would be horrible to have to live with.

I think it's admirable that he wants to be treated like any other soldier but I am horribly worried for him ... I also cannot imagine how a mother of a soldier must feel at moments like this ...

I understand that Harry wants to be a part of this and everything but he's putting his men in harms way there no need to, it's bad enough that these  :censored: what to capture Harry, he really doesn't need his whole team captured.

I don't think he's putting his men in harms way at all. If anything his troop probably would receive far more protection IMO

Harry is a soldier first and foremost. This is what he agreed to do when he signed up. Harry IMO is no better than anyone else son..he is just as important as the next guy..

And if there were any possibility of him being kidnapped or his being there was endangering his fellow soldiers, then there's no way they'd let him go. The commanding officers are privy to far more info than you and I and the tabs.

What will occur if Prince Harry is seized in Iraq?  ~ Independent
QuoteLeaders of Shia militias, some of them thought to be backed by Iran, have issued the starkest of threats should Harry set foot in Iraq. One leader of the insurgency claims: "We planted our people inside British bases and they are our constant source of information. They have orders to track Prince Harry's movements. Once we have that information we will make appropriate plans to capture him. "I hope we succeed so that we can negotiate the release of our brothers ... as well as the departure of British troops from our country."

Hell no, I'd hunt him down in Iraq myself...and assuming all the Harryites would be with me, I feel damn sorry for anyone holding Harry hostage...;-)
And we all went to heaven in a little row boat.
