Yeah, he even said in an interview that he hadn't dated Britney and he hated her for using his name for publicity.  That whole thing was weird--she would say they had, then they hadn't, then she showed up at the palace but he was out riding, and so on.

I'm not good with the links either but they definitely got his university wrong.  I think they said he was going to go to an Americna university and to Oxbridge and to Bristol...pretty much everywhere BESIDES St. Andrew's.

William, also 23, met Kate while studying the same history of art course before he switched to geography. Soon after, he paid £200 for a front-row seat at a charity student fashion show, where she strode the catwalk in a see-through lace top over a black bra. In their second year, they shared a country house with friends. Since they graduated in June, William has appeared in public with her several times, giving rise to speculation that the relationship is becoming increasingly serious.

So did they start seriously dating when they were 23 if so then it's been only 2 yrs of dating instead of 4 like many believe they have been.

According to reputable news sources ( The BBC, CBC, CNN, etc.)They started dating around december 2003, which was close to Kate's 22nd birthday.  She was still 21, but almost 22 years old.  Wills was still 21.  He turned 22 in June 2004.
