Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Monday received the Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria Désirée, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Crown Princess, who arrived at the Villa at 02:13 pm, was received by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, who led her to the VP's office.

CP Victoria is on an official visit to Nigeria from April 7 to April 9, 2025.

According to the Swedish Embassy, the visit aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Sweden and Nigeria.

During her stay, she is also meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar and the Governor of Lagos State.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb met Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria in Helsinki on Tuesday to discuss defence and crisis preparedness.

The meeting took place at the presidential residence in Munkkiniemi. It marked the start of the Swedish royal's two-day visit to Finland.

Victoria was joined by Sweden's Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin and other officials.
