Most useless and way down the line is Ed , but I give him and Soph props for seemingly living in dignity. They are major multimillionaires living on the govt. for life , but really have nothing much to do but life a bit dignified. Lots of "buts" there. Biggest award is being the only child of QEII who has not been divorced. As Soph, minor flaw, but truthfully said, she was bringing dignity back to the RF. Well, to a point, she has.
So far, rarely have they made major fools of themselves or done things reprehensible ( PA of York and Sarah of Pork).
Soph and Ed may have had some silly, minor goofs, good gossip ,but nothing major.

Er, he had to "do" absolutely nothing. As son of the Queen he's perfectly entitled to receive an award in her Majesty's personal gift.

Edward & Sophie work hard throughout the year fulfilling many engagements on behalf of the Queen. Sadly the media doesn't publicise this.
