Princess Charlene of Monaco attended to children at the Monaco Palace during the traditional Christmas tree ceremony, cheering them up with gifts and leading the celebrations.

A Christmas tree was decorated for children and they were treated to gifts by the princess as well as a Santa Claus.

The 35-year-old Princess Charlene, with her husband Prince Albert II, got on well with the children, with warm smiles and little gifts.
