Sapper Derek Shea has seen the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice during his time outside Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, the Tower of London and St James' Palace.  And only a rota change meant the 24-year-old missed standing guard on the day that US President Barack Obama came to London for the G20 summit.

Sapper Shea, of Alfreton, said: "It's been brilliant.  It is a duty I have been very proud to do."
