QuotePrince Harry is to receive a severe dressing down from his Army superiors over his late-night antics.

The 22-year-old will be told before he leaves for a six-month posting in Iraq next month that he must curb his drinking and behave impeccably at all times.

The warning - expected to be delivered by his Commanding Officer - follows a series of undignified incidents which culminated last weekend in him falling into the gutter outside a London nightclub.

Quote"The time has come for him to be told, 'Enough is enough'. A high-ranking officer will tell him his behaviour is unacceptable."

The move was backed by Dai Davies, a former head of Scotland Yard's Royalty Protection Squad.

He said: "Harry is not behaving like a senior royal, let alone an Army officer. What he is doing is compromising his security and the security of others. Ludicrous amounts of money are being spent on providing him with 24-hour security.

Harry should listen this :notamused:

What a crock....what about Wills? :gaah:

Daily Mail..The diary of fights, falls and faux-pas
QuoteWhile at Eton, Harry is ordered to visit a drugs rehabilitation clinic by his father after he confesses to smoking cannabis and heavy drinking. The short sharp shock treatment comes after the prince, 16 at the time, admits experimenting with the drug with older teenagers at Highgrove, at parties and in a pub outbuilding. Lashes out at a photographer as he leaves a nightclub in Piccadilly, cutting the man's lip. Harry is hit in the face with a camera. Forced to issue a grovelling apology for going to a party dressed as a Nazi soldier and wearing a swastika. His choice of outf i t is condemned as insensitive and tasteless by shocked Holocaust survivors after it is sold to a newspaper. Raises eyebrows when he celebrates the end of his Army officer training at Sandhurst by visiting the Spearmint Rhino club near Heathrow Airport at 3am with a group of friends. Photographs are published of him nuzzling Natalie Pinkham's cheek and groping her breast. They were said to have been stolen from her home before being sold to the Sun newspaper. Collapses into the gutter after emerging from Boujis in South Kensington. Seconds earlier he had lashed out at a photographer, chasing him through late-night traffic and trying to shove him in the back.

I suppose the difference is that Harry was called out for smoking dope and admitted to it.  Obviously, they both drink...and I still don't agree about the double standard (if one goes for counselling, the other should too)...but this is probably the logic/excuse that they are going to use to justify it in the media and in their own minds.

Could partly be that Harry is fully trained Officer and going deployed within weeks and is an Officer but not a trained as Recce Veihicle (sp)Troop Leader?

Wills is an officer as well. He has passed his basic training all he is currently doing is more training. If it's an important message for Harry then it should also be just as important to pass that onto Wills too.

This has nothing to do with Harry's past indiscretions..it's about his recent actions in public when drunk...correct me if I'm wrong, but Wills has also acted drunkenly in public and if this is mostly because of Harry being an officier and not because of any actual real threat that his recent actions will have on him whilst in Iraq.

QuoteHe said: "Harry is not behaving like a senior royal, let alone an Army officer. What he is doing is compromising his security and the security of others. Ludicrous amounts of money are being spent on providing him with 24-hour security.
This also applies to Wills.

QuoteAs a junior officer in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry - motto Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense (Shame on him who thinks this evil) - Harry is expected to conduct himself with dignity, especially when in public.
Wills is also a member of this regiment..so why does it not also apply to him?

Is it because Harry allegedly struck a photographer and there were pictures of him stumbling (possibly because he was drunk rather than just slipping).  There have been pictures of William appearing drunk...but none that I can recall where he is falling down drunk.

I hate the double standard too - but the pictures of Harry were much more embarassing to the military than the ones of William even though he may have been equally as drunk as Harry.

If it's because Harry lashed out then fine...but the story also said it was because of him being drunk and tarnishing the regiments image....Wills ahs also done this as well. It's a definate double standard which keeps being perpetuated :notamused:

Lila the Flirt

this should be applied to both princes :notamused:

I agree it should be applied to both princes. Maybe there is something we aren't seeing though. One source suggested that Harry regularly compromises his security and William is better at hiding his actions (well until last weekend anyway). Maybe it really falls under a routine "You're being deployed, remember who you represent" type talk. The whole regiment seems to have a reputation for drinking. Most things in the media concerning this family, even those based on truth, are twisted to fit whatever the writer wants to portray. Maybe William received the same talk and we just didn't get that information. Both were supposedly discussed by their protection people.

What I liked though was the question about the missing father. We have the protection officers holding talks and the army having discussions. What about the father? I know we've been over that topic before.

^ good points all.  i'm glad a strong figure in his regiment is going to be talking to him about this.  i think Harry will actually appreciate it and take the order seriously.  if he's not getting the guidance and advice he needs at home then where better then from the army which he loves so much?

I don't have it yet but if/when I do I'll send it to Lila..

Daily Express...Harry's Hedonists...
QuoteThis week Prince Harry was finally warned his endless partying was at odds with his army life. So who are the ganag of TV wannabes, aristocrats and the hangers-on who like to encourage his wild ways?

They blame Guy Pelly (although he is really Wills friend)..Natalie Pinkham, Annabel Ritchie (General Ritchies daughter), The Meads, and Isabella With the incredibly log names brother Jacobi....

Lila the Flirt

Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe? :P Jacobi's cute. :teehee:

Harry has not been seen with Isabella and Jacobi AGC in recent times..

QuoteBut if these friends have honed Harry's predilection for partying hard, where is his right-hand man Mark Dyer? The former Guards officer, who now runs wine bars, was the one who tried to restrain Harry as he launched at the photo- grapher outside Boujis.

"His unofficial position is as minder to Prince Harry," says Compton Miller. "Prince Charles was happy to leave Harry in his hands about four years ago when his son began to go off the rails. So what is he doing to prevent the bad behaviour?"

 so like Charles 2 push his kids 2 unsuitable plp!

HARRY'S HEDONISTS  ~ Express
QuoteSurrounded by rowdy and enthusiastic friends, the 22-year-old soon started attracting glances from the rest of the A-list clientele – the wealthy South Kensington set and Premiership footballers who were decadently splashing out on £4,000 jeroboams of Cristal champagne. Harry was, said one onlooker, "clearly in the mood to let his hair down" but as it came close to 3am, the young officer shot his close friend Natalie Pinkham a glance and the pair decided to call it a night

I think that all of this crap is related to the pics of Harry chasing that stupid pap, and Harry falling when he was trying to get into the car.  So far there aren't any pics of Wills falling or chasing paps, so that's probably why they're making this big fat hairy deal out of the whole thing for Harry but not Wills.

Harry isn't a bad person and he doesn't deserve a dressing down by his superiors or anyone else, including itinerant royal photographers. (I also feel that Wills doesn't deserve a dressing down either, so please leave him alone as well, thank you kindly.)

I think that we should find an effective way to protest the tab's treatment of Harry.

Of course it's related to the pics of Harry "chasing" that pap and falling...
