Did he give a donation to this worthy charity he is patron of, or receive criticism for not doing so?

Looks as if he and Queen Camilla will be staying north of the border for some time, nearly as long as the late Queen perhaps.

Well, Queen Elizabeth did the same for his father after HIS grandfather's death, in 1957 I believe, so it is a tradition. It skipped a generation because the late Aga Khan's father, THE Aly Khan of my generation, (always in the tabloid Press) was too much of a playboy. He died quite young in his sports car in a crash in Paris, his long term mistress Bettina by his side, though she survived. Three generations have been known for their widespread horse racing and stud interests.

And no doubt they spoke about many things, interesting and otherwise. Including almost certainly Captain Chaos alias President NoBrain's wish to make Canada part of the US. Because of course it is part of the US's 'manifest destiny' to make it so, lol.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if NoBrain is completely ignorant of the fact that the man he regards as his bestie, King Charles, is in fact King of Canada. Perhaps the King can explain to Captain Chaos in words of one syllable how it is so in his next letter.

Yes, King Charles has been actively seeing Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Black Rod and now new Canadian PM Carney. And of course there was the visit of President Zelensky to Sandringham.

Hopefully all this will have penetrated the boneheads in Washington in Capt Chaos's circle, including minion Musk. The King isn't your bestie, Captain Bonehead. Ever! He'll do his constitutional duty by Canada and GB, whatever you say, do or think (if you ever do think with the two brain cells rattling inside your skull.) Did you ever know or care that he happens to be King of Canada, you ignorant so and so. Ugh! Ugh! Ugh!

No more friendly are the Greenland leaders of the five political parties who signed a letter to you the other day together with the Danish PM saying Greenlanders will decide Greenland's fate.

So Just Keep your nose out of the affairs of other countries, Chaos. They don't concern you, however much you might want them to.They don't want or need your blundering interference.

And you've treated your neighbour Canada in the most gross and despicable way. Want to be the 51st State. On the contrary, their store owners are clearing away US products and goods.

In reading your comment I got the biggest chuckle out of it as I totally agree with you. I have long time and deeply love my Canadian friends here in the US and we are all sick of the orange haired idiot and want nothing to do with him.  He and his Thugs will never be respected or admired in the US by decent people.  I got his number a long time ago as I know somone in my life just like him and ended up hating him for the way he treated his family. Money does not make a person a decent human being!

Yes, we have Canadian friends too, now in Australia for a while. Captain Chaos is certainly not popular with Australians either. He has a 70% disapproval rating here. He has slapped 25% tariffs on our steel and aluminium, and has sent a questionnaire about a week ago to medical researchers at our universities threatening to cut off US funding unless everyone sends back their questionnaires ASAP, with answers that 'comply with our American values'. In other words no money if you don't agree with us and our twisted up so-called values. Capt Bonehead's rules. Like with Canada a dog act as neither Canada nor Australia has ever done anything against the US. We've always been allies and good friends.

I dont even live in the US but I can't wait for the midterm elections next year, when hopefully this bullying administration gets its comeuppance and Chaos becomes a lame duck President. Hopefully when Capt Bonehead does get to Balmoral, King Charles does some plain speaking and tells him to keep his paws away from the King's Commonwealth realms. For the rest of his term. Then no more lectures from him, VP Vance or Musk to any foreign countries.

The Queen and Harrison Machin, 5, plant the final poppies in an installation at the Tower of London to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War. This act of Remembrance saw Her Majesty representing all those who served the Nation, with Harrison planting his poppy on behalf of the younger generation.

'The Tower Remembers' installation recalls the sacrifice and resilience of the wartime generation and will stand as a reminder of the long-lasting impact of conflict.

The Tower, which was itself bombed during the Blitz, will display nearly 30,000 ceramic poppies on the lawn to mark the year of Remembrance.
