Something that always comes to find is this: How do members find us? I mean, do they mostly come through a search on Google? A link found on Twitter? A Facebook post? or by being referred here by someone?
Now, not all users are registered members, so I am allowing guest to vote on this poll.
I typed in "Prince William Gossip" in Google about 10 years ago
Amazing how time flies, eh? :blank: :teehee:
I think I just googled something like "royalty discussion forums" or something. It was a little over two years ago, a week or so before the engagement announcement.
Cindy
10 years and about 40lbs ago....:Lothwen:
One of my friends who was a former poster about 5 or 6 years ago.
Google, or some other search engine... also almost 10 years ago!! Long before we had a Twitter and Facebook pages! ;)
I Googled 'Pippa Middleton' back in October 2012....
Now isn't that funny??? She's NOT royal but she brought me right to You!!!
prince harry led me here ,not literally but through some picture link... only 7 months ago ... :happy17: :happy17:
I found it through Google sometime in 2011. I looked at some other forums as well, but this seemed the fairest - including those who were critical and also those who were favorable towards the royals. And somehow all posters got along, which was refreshing!
I found this site back in 2004 by googling Prince William's girlfriend
Found this forum by googling everything about Harry :P 8 years ago, long before Facebook and Twitter accounts.
I found Royal Insight through the forum's Wikipedia page a month ago, and decided to sign up yesterday! :computer:
Welcome to the forum!
Just out if curiosity, how did you stumble upon our wiki page? Seems kind of random!

It is random, isn't it? :teehee:
I'm a member on Wikipedia and typed in 'Categories:Internet Forums' and Royal Insight came up, thought the forum sounded interesting, so I clicked on the link!
Cool... And random  So are you one of those people that checks and edits wiki pages?
I check and edit pages too, though I must confess that I have not been doing this for the past year or so.
Can't anyone edit Wikipedia pages? I've made corrections on a few of them, myself.
Cindy
True, I always see the edit button but never click it :P
This reminds me of a quote by Michael from The Office
"Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject. So you know you are getting the best possible information."
:laugh10:
Yeah. There used to be a team of fact-checkers to make sure the articles were accurate, but I don't know that they still exist. Wikipedia has been asking for donations to keep it going for a couple of years now. The requests pop up every few months, though I haven't seen them lately. I only changed some typos, and I changed an incorrect date on Anne Boleyn's page once. Oh, and a friend asked me to link his name to an album that he worked on a couple of years ago. You don't even have to register to make the changes, but I eventually did.
Cindy
Yeah I saw that too.

Yes, but I'm not a very active member.
Cinrit: You're right, everyone can edit Wikipedia pages, I'm like you, I mainly correct mistakes. Although I have created an article and uploaded an image. I have also expanded a couple of pages too!
Very cool, HereditaryPrincess. Were they royalty-related articles?
Cindy

Cindy
Yes, they were royalty related. The page I created was about Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon- Two Sicilies (the Duke and Duchess of Castro's eldest daughter). I also edited Lady Louise's article, Princess Helena of the United Kingdom's article and Margarita Armstrong-Jones's article. :computer:
That's pretty cool!
I searched 'royal forums' in Google last year and I got a place here! :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15: :happy15:
I also came here via google search. I've been quietly reading in the background for two years but decided I wanted to now join in the fun!
:D Welcome Loli!!
Welcome to the forum Loli!!
I was looking around for pictures as part of some History research and stumbled across and old page from this site. I then proceeded to the homepage and voila!
Very good! I hope you were able to find the information you were looking for.
I did because you have so many photographs here.
Great stuff!

Welcome!!! So exciting to see new members signing up and taking part in our lovely community. :happy20: :happy20: :welcome: :welcome:
I have been reading the forum for a long time now... But I can't remember how I find it... :ugh:
Neither can I! :happy15:
I wandered in after hearing applause and laughter. Stayed for drinks and food.
Laughter, drinks and food :happy20: :happy20: We had such a party, MB it was so much fun :hehe:
Do you remember Windsor and Orchid giving out vouchers for the Royal memorabilia shop in Windsor? :hehe: :hehe: We had such fun! :happy15:
Is that when I took off with the pretty decorated egg thingamabobs? And Windsor turned purple? Has he ever recovered?
Purple! He turned a really dark shade of blue - black almost! Nope never recovered. Us mods just have to keep chanting - Windsor...Windsor...Windsor.... :teehee:
shhhhhh......they are still on my fireplace mantle
:o I'm telling!...Little grass that I am.... :icecream:
Now you're playing dirty, MB. I'll scratch your back, if you scratch mine. Oh, I sound like a little old perv :eyes:
If I remember correctly, you helped yourself to some of the embroidered cushions when you snuck into the Queens private bedroom. And you and Lothy tried out the perfumes and sprays. I told you not to but you said you couldn't understand me because I couldn't talk properly with of all the chocolate I was sampling.
Ahhhh.....good times. We really need to take another all-forum trip.
Good times, indeed MB. I'll have you know those cushions are still used - my dogs love 'em and they still smell of palace - Thanks, Lothy!
I'm not sure that I can recall exactly, but I remember this might have been a link from a website called William and Harry Unlimited in the early 2000's. It's been ages, but I've been lurking on and off for a while. I wasn't really paying attention to contemporary royalty during college, so there was a four-and-a-half year period where I was MIA. My interest ebbs and flows, but it reappeared when my husband and I were living in South Korea for two years. Culture shock!
It's always seemed like a relatively cohesive community and the formatting a lot more clean and concise in comparison to other forums and such.
I'm so happy you found us,
@DaisyMeRollin - I so enjoy reading your posts
I really miss that website you mentioned, they had some great photo collections! Glad you are sticking around here :)
A friend on the Royal Forums
Hi roseroyal and welcome to the forum!
Hi Jenee! Thanks!
Saw this site in a post on the DM
Hi Shelbob! Welcome to this forum. I hope you have a great time here. :)
Welcome to the forum!!
I've seen the page through googling (slightly get my attention in Fb). Not interested about how "Royals" lived. It's just their lives and we have different reasons how we live... But I interested most in the avid fan of the royals. The way how they think and patronize monarchy. I am the Frozen Queen, and yeah...finding my place here.. :blowkiss:. My kingdom is ruined and it was then frozen  So, hopefully you guys :welcome: ME as much as I welcome the thoughts in here.
:welcome: to you FrozenQueen :hi:

Welcome Frozen Queen.
A huge Welcome to Royal Insight Forums, Frozen Queen, so lets pop the champagne :partaay:
I found this forum a few times searching for something. I think once or twice it was when I was researching a question about Prince Albert for my book. So I finally got up the energy to make an account. :hug?:
