Hi everyone,

Looking for a little advice from anyone who can help. I have come across a unique piece of Royal memorabilia relating to the Her Majesty's Royal Yacht, HMY Britannia, while it was docked in my home town, Portsmouth.

Does anyone know of any reputable places, websites or companies who specialise in valuating or appraising Royal memorabilia items or a place for collectors?

I am not trying to spam or advertise here, so I'm not posting links or pictures, just looking for anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any information

Why not write  to the Antique Road Show, enclosing details and a photograph of the item? They have experts on there for all that sort of memorabilia.

^Grear idea, @Curryoung.

@UkGuyRy, sorry I don't have a better idea-- would love to hear what you have!

Thanks for the replies.

I never really thought of writing in to one of those shows, but actually, a pretty good idea.

The item I have is a cross made from the wood decking aboard the Yacht, part of the teak wood was removed from the Yacht when it was docked and was given to the Royal Navy Sailing center, a professional shipwright and wood maker crafted a beautiful mounted cross out of the wood, comes with a presentation box, certificate of authenticity and all the bows and ribbons.

I will look into some of those auction shows, thanks again guys!

I agree with the others that you should look into sharing this on an auction/appraisal show.
