Thank You Louis for this, yet my very favorite wedding gown and wedding of all time ever, Crown Princess Victoria.  Her gown was the most elegant, gorgeous, and amazing of all. So chic and regal ........just beautiful.  That wedding of all had such love flowing all over the place, the tears of love and joy, the smiles, there was not a dry eye in the cathedral.  And there was only 2 people in that world of V/D, that was the bride and groom, I think for a short while they actually were so intune with each other that nobody else mattered.

And how can I forget all those royal ladies and those jewels, darn that bling was blinding..............I have watched the entire wedding I think 6 times now, each time, it gets better and better.........and today they are the perfect example of what I think a real princess and prince are, Sweden has such a bright future with them.

Not a flaw in in that wedding!    :)

^ Maud was extraordinarily thin and quite delicate looking. Just look at that waistline! If it's as much as 18 inches I'd be very surprised. It's funny to think she was the most cheery and fond of practical jokes of Edward VII and Alexandra's three daughters, and was nicknamed 'Harry' when she was young.

^ I love the festoon tiara and Autumn's dress and veil were lovely. Her bridesmaids' outfits were unusual for a 'royal' wedding, as their gowns were sleeveless. It's a style that's been done to death in countless other weddings all over the UK and elsewhere, not a style I'm particularly fond of (seen too many brides' fat upper arms) but the sea mist green colour was flattering. All adults too, which was again a departure, for an English wedding anyway.

--double post merged--

They all looked beautiful, even if there was a bit too much lace about for my own taste. Itchy!! Maxie looked very statuesque! I don't like collars on wedding gowns, so, sorry Mathilde. Marie of Denmark's veil looked delicate and fine, absolutely stunning, even if my favourite gown and veil of all time is Mette Marit's. Marie had lace but her gown was very pretty and all in all I thought she looked superb.

QuoteSwedish Royal Wedding Dresses to go on Display

It was announced by the Swedish Royal Court yesterday that five Swedish royal wedding dresses would be on display in an exclusive exhibit at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The dresses will include the gowns worn by Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Madeleine, Princess Sofia, and Princess Lilian. The exhibit is in celebration of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia's 40th wedding anniversary. The exhibit will run from 22 October 2016 through 5 March 2017.

King Carl Gustaf married German born Silvia Sommerlath on 19 June 1976 in Stockholm Cathedral in Stockholm, Sweden. This was the first wedding of a reigning monarch in Sweden since 1797. Silvia's dress was designed by Dior, and she wore the Swedish Cameo Tiara. They have three children: Crown Princess Victoria (born 1977), Prince Carl Philip (born 1979), and Princess Madeleine (born 1982). They also have five grandchildren: Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar (children of Victoria and Daniel), Prince Alexander (son of Carl Philip and Sofia), and Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas (children of Madeleine and Christopher).

Princess Alix looked fabulous on her wedding day. I loved her tiara the most.

QuoteA princess got married this weekend - and the dress was magical...

Congratulations are in order for Princess Alix de Ligne and her new husband Guillaume de Dampierre. The couple married in a religious wedding ceremony on Saturday 18 June in the village of Beloeil in Belgium.

The bride looked stunning as she emerged from St Peter's Church, wearing a vintage-inspired ivory dress. The A-line gown featured an embroidered panel with fringe detailing, and Alix completed her look with a lace veil.

The pièce de résistance was her diamond tiara, which sparkled as Alix kissed her nobleman husband on the church steps.
