It was informative to learn that Anne lived with her grandmother, Henrietta Maria and her aunt, Henrietta Anne in France.
I like the fact that Anne's coronation occurred on St. George's Day in 1702. St. George is the patron saint of England.   :crown:

It was Sarah Churchill who persuaded Anne to abandon her father during the Glorious Revolution and side with William and Mary. Her betrayal of her father was something that was later to cause Queen Anne considerable anguish.

Anne as Princess Anne wrote often to her sister after Princess Mary's marriage to William of Orange and subsequent relocation to the Low Countries.

Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill had an embarrassing quarrel at a thanksgiving service in St. Paul's Cathedral in 1708 for another Marlborough victory. Sarah actually shouted at Queen Anne in public to hold her tongue.

Her son the Duke of Gloucester, was ultimately her only child to survive. She had many children who died in infancy. Gloucester was said to be very intelligent but he always was unhealthy and passed away at a young age.

Poor old Anne and her 18 pregnancies. 17 did not survive birth or infancy. An answer to that is below.
