QuoteNews has broken that Belgian Prince Amedeo, nephew of King Philippe, his wife Elisabetta Rosboch von Wolkenstein and their daughter will move to Switzerland this year.

Prince Amedeo of Belgium and his family will be leaving Belgium soon for the Swiss Basel. The news broke earlier this week in the Belgian press. The Prince and his wife Elisabetta "Lili" moved to Belgium two years ago after their wedding. Before their relocation to Belgium, the couple resided in New York where they both worked. Amedeo and his family live next to his mother Princess Astrid, sister of King Philippe, and Prince Lorenz of Belgium. At the time Princess Astrid was "delighted" her son was to live close to her in the sight of "future grandchildren".

Prince Amedeo will be leaving his job at McKinsey & Company in Brussels to work at his father's bank Gutzwiller & Cie in Basel, Switzerland. Gutzwiller & Cie is an exclusive private bank that only allows customers with an income of at least 230.000 euros. Prince Amedeo's father Prince Lorenz is one of the four owners of the bank. Prince Amedeo, thus, will follow in his father's footsteps. Amedeo knows the city of Basel very well as he lived there during the first seven years of his life.

It seems to me that many of the lower in the line of succession Belgian, Lichtenstein and Hapsburg male family members end up in some form of banking, finance or accounting positions in Switzerland or Lichtenstein.
