Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands was a picture of joy as she assisted in the release of a sea turtle during her two-week tour of the Dutch Caribbean Islands.

Joined by her parents King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, the princess has been embarking on a tour of the scenic islands over the past week.

After visiting Bonaire and Aruba, the Dutch royals are now in Cura?ao until Monday, before heading to St Maarten, St Eustatius and Saba next week.

On Friday, Amalia, 19, was photographed releasing a sea turtle back into the wild during a visit to Sea Turtle Conservation Cura?ao as Maxima watched on.

The family later embarked on a tour of the Hofi Mango planta area, and visited the Jump-In Tumba Festival on day seven of their tropical adventure.

The tour continues on its 8th day in Caribbean portions of the Kingdom with a mixture of engagements related transportation, disaster relief and a hospital visit. St Maarten was heavily impacted by a hurricane in 2017 and rebuilding continues there.

The DRF visit to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom continues to its final destination. Former KLM pilot King W-A aka Capt. Van Amsberg piloted the plane to the island of Sint Maarten.

Dutch royal visit lands in Sint Maarten ? Royal Central

The Dutch Royal Family is continuing on their tour of the Dutch Caribbean and landed in Sint Maarten on Monday, 6 February.

King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands briefly switched royals to his ?other? job and co-piloted the plane that flew the Dutch royals to Sint Maarten for the final leg of their Caribbean tour. The King shared in 2017 that he had been flying as a pilot for the Dutch airline KLM for over two decades.

Accompanied by his wife, Queen M?xima, and his daughter, Princess Catharina-Amalia, Willem-Alexander had a busy day in Sint Maarten.

Sint Maarten is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The country covers less than half of the island of Saint Marten, with the top half a French entity.

The family continued with their aero-theme for the day as they visited the Princess Juliana International Airport to view how reconstruction work is progressing after a hurricane largely damaged the airport in 2017.

Final day of the tour of the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom. Each island was visited for a couple of days and each held its own version of "Kings Day" at some point during the visit with plenty of music, dancing and the DRF joining in.

On Wednesday, Queen Maxima attended two events in Maastricht and Roermond.  She first attended the 51st spring conference of the Dutch Association (NVvP) for Psychiatry during which she gave the opening speech.  Afterward, Queen Maxima visited Women's Center Maximina and DB4ALL/Tigers Roermond. Both organizations are supported by the Oranje Fonds. Women's Center Maximina is a meeting place for women with different backgrounds in the Donderberg district while DB4ALL/Tigers Roermond supports young people in their development by, for example, offering homework guidance and workshops.
