QuoteTHE transformation of hospital facilities for women and children in Wirral was celebrated with the official opening of Wirral Women and Children's Hospital at Arrowe Park by Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex.

The Countess was given a tour of the hospital, met members of staff and shared the experiences of patients and families. She was also guest of honour at lunch.

Many of the new facilities were visited by the Countess, including the children's ward, maternity ward, midwifery-led unit and specialist neonatal unit. The Countess concluded her visit by unveiling a sculpture in the form of a flower to mark the official opening.
