The Crown Prince couple has a wildly exciting program to look forward to when they are in the U.S. a little week.

Already on the first day Frederik will  visit his old Harvard University in Boston, while Mary is in New York, where she will visit Harlem district.

The following day, on Friday, the Crown Prince couple visits Ground Zero, where nearly 3,000 people were killed in terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

In the evening, after several smaller events Frederik and Mary are guests of honor to a big gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel where they among others will be in the company of Frederick's cousin Prince Nikolaos and his wife, Tatiana. Also the Swedish royal couple are in place this prestigious evening.

Saturday, the royal couple has a quiet day with a Nordic culinary event, but the day after they turn up the pace and include the American Football match at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Monday the royal couple visits Aamann Restaurant and finally visits a Danish Design event.

Together with the Swedish royal couple, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and Norway's King Harald and Queen Sonja, the Friday commemorating the 2605 people who died when terrorists flew into the World Trade Center twin towers of 11th September 2001.

Also Finland and Iceland's president, Tarja Halonen and Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, participating in the ceremony, which marks the 10-anniversary of the attacks.

Crown Prince Frederik and Mary arrived earlier this week to New York to take part in a Danish business promotion "Creative and Healthy for Life". It shall focus on Denmark's position in digital solutions for health, while creating awareness of Danish creativity in design, fashion and food.

In a press release says the Danish Consul General in New York, Earl Frijs-Madsen, the campaign will pave the way into the U.S. market for 20 Danish companies.

- This will brand Denmark as an innovative and creative country here at the world's largest market, he says.

During the visit, the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels bask in royal incense and the second time this year. Recently, he received the Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize, and in New York participating royal couple in the official opening of his new office BIG in Manhattan west side.

The Office will direct the studio's new construction of 600 apartments called West 57th project, which is designed as a pyramid.

"It has proven to create some really good results and thus to raise the entire society. So it's a success."

1,200 guests attended the celebrated banquet in New York, which marked the 100-anniversary of Danish-American collaboration.

It glittered in diamonds and other splendor of royalty and other celebrities, as 100-year anniversary of the American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) on Friday evening was marked by a celebration dinner at the Hilton Hotel in New York.

The event was part of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary's visit to the United States.

Among the 1,200 guests were also the Swedish and Norwegian King and Queen as well as Finland's President Tarja Halonen and her Icelandic colleague, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

Many close ties
Danish-American Nis Poulsen founded the American-Scandinavian Foundation in 1911 with the aim of strengthening ties between the U.S. and Scandinavia. Today, student exchanges and scholarships the largest part of ASF's scope.

The Swedish King Carl Gustaf, pointed out in his speech that today lives 11 million Americans of Scandinavian descent in America.

After dinner the party went to the wee hours.

Earlier Friday had the Danish Crown-Prince Couple along with the other Scandinavian royals and the two presidents laid flowers at the memorial for the victims of terrorist attacks that hit the World Trade Center 10 years ago.
