Also being recognised during two investiture ceremonies hosted by the Prince of Wales was Olympic champion swimmer Adam Peaty, who will be made an OBE for services to swimming.

Peaty became the first British swimmer to retain an Olympic title with a stunning display in the final of the men?s 100 metres breaststroke at Tokyo 2020.

Arlene Foster, the former Stormont First Minister and ex-leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, will be made a Dame Commander for public and political service.

Australian TV presenter and comic, Adam Hills, will be made an MBE for services to Paralympic sport and disability awareness 

The 52-year-old is best known for hosting Channel 4's The Last Leg with Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker.

Kensington Palace confirms that the PoW does not plan to have an Investiture.

Kensington Palace said the meeting aimed to "deepen his understand of the issues and opportunities of greatest importance to the Welsh people".

BBC Wales was told that the prince understands he is at the start of a long period of association with Wales' political system, and was keen to express his desire to deepen the trust and respect of people of Wales over time.

He planned to tell them that there are no formal plans for an investiture ceremony, aware of the political controversy that surrounded the event in 1969.

Kensington Palace said an investiture is "not on the table".

It's supposed to be a happy, interesting and positive event. Shame on anyone bringing up that negative stuff. I think we all know that if you compare the past with our current attitudes regarding race and gender (among others!), we are far more sensitive now - you'd be able to call most people somewhat racist by today's standards. Harry and Meghan are not well informed about it, anyway.

An interesting observation made elsewhere about CC entries, by a poster who totals up royal engagements each month, and is abreast of such things. She has observed that

Up until the 5th December this year the Prince and Princess of Wales were listed under Kensington Palace for CC listings. On the 6th December they were listed under St James's Palace. Those who do not live at KP like the King and Queen come under BP, Windsor, and other royal residences private and State.

Until the 6th December the Wales and Gloucesters came under the KP banner in the CC. However now the Wales, Wessexes, the Princess Royal and the Kents are all listed as under St James (Palace, of course.) Is the KP ?office? going to disappear in the near future and be relocated at St James? Which is of course known in diplomatic circles formally as ?The Court of St James.?
