A part of the London residence of Prince Charles is to visit from Monday to the public. Like other years may interested parties throughout August with charge and accompanied by a guide, take a look at the various rooms of the building.

Clarence House is now in use only by Charles and his wife Camilla. The Prince used the building for revenue and has his Office.

Clarence House opens to the public

For the month of August, Clarence House, the private residence of Prince Charles and Camilla, will be open to visitors while the couple is away at their summer home.

As the seventh royal occupant of the House, the Prince of Wales uses it to receive visitors from the UK and overseas which includes official dinners, receptions and meetings. Prior to Prince Charles, Clarence House's most famous residents were Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, who lived there from 1949 until 1952, and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother who lived in the House for the last half century of her life, before her death in 2002.

The hour-long guided tours of the house, which reportedly still looks very similar to the way it did when the Queen Mother lived there, will give the public an unprecedented opportunity to view the home's vast collection of Queen Elizabeth's art and furniture.
