Edward IV was apparently a very tall, handsome and athletic man in his youth. His grandson Henry VIII resembled him. Elisabeth was reputedly stunning, with very fair long hair and pale blue eyes. It's a pity there aren't existing authentic portraits of them around, though the stained glass is lovely.

I can remember feeling very surprised as a child when I first saw a portrait of Katherine of Aragon and noted she was a red head. So Henry VIII married a blonde, (Jane Seymour who was apparently very fair haired), a brunette (Ann Boleyn) two redheads, Parr and Aragon, and two whose hair colour I can't recollect!

I think that Katherine Howard had light brown hair/brown hair. A very formidable woman, Matilda, years older than her second husband who was only a young teenager when they wed, and full of arrogance and pride.

Richard III looks considerably blonder in this portrait than he supposedly was in real life.
