QuoteHis Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, has officially opened a new creative arts building at state sixth form college King Edward VI College in Nuneaton.

Joking with students at the college, he told them to pretend seeing him unveil a plaque was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to them

The £1.1million building at the college's site in King Edward Road features a photography studio, recording studios, a media suite and a film studio.  It replaces temporary general purpose classrooms with purpose built facilities.

The cash is from the Education Funding Agency, part of the Government's Department for Education.

Speaking to a large group of students and staff the prince said: "I would like you all to pretend the unveiling of a plaque is the most exciting thing that has ever happened in your lives."
