Hilarious! He kept forgetting, but he handled it with good humor. It's just so natural to reach out and shake hands.

The Prince's Trust has commissioned and opened a rustic playground on the grounds of Dumfries House. It's said to be inspired by the Highgrove playhouse by the PoW's sons and grandchildren. It has three slides, a tunnel climbing wall, suspension bridges and two towers. A fantastic playground for kids in a woodland setting to get kids outdoors and playing. Local school children were the first to give it a try this week.  :high5:

Prince Charles meets Muirkirk Primary pupils at Dumfries House playpark opening | Cumnock Chronicle

QuoteThe 300-square metre rustic wooden playground is nestled six metres up among the trees on the estate near Cumnock, and features elevated rope bridges, a netting tunnel, two side-by-side racing slides and a tube slide.

Commissioned by Charles? charitable organisation The Prince?s Foundation, the park is designed to encourage youngsters to immerse themselves in nature, boosting their physical wellbeing and mental health in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The central play tower, made from sustainably sourced English chestnut, took inspiration from the treehouse at the prince?s Gloucestershire home, Highgrove.

💃🎶 In celebration of Her Majesty The Queen?s Platinum Jubilee this week, The Prince?s Foundation is welcoming more than 250 people, who are at risk of social isolation, to its sites across the UK for a series of celebratory tea dances.

https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2022-06-01/prince-of-wales-surprises-guests-with-appearance-at-highgrove-tea-dance

QuoteThe Prince of Wales swung into the Queen?s Platinum Jubilee celebrations at a tea dance held at his private residence in Gloucestershire.

Charles, along with TV star Jools Holland and soul singer Ruby Turner, surprised more than 250 older guests on Tuesday (May 31) at a party thrown by the Prince?s Foundation in the Orchard Room of Highgrove House.

The event - held as a way combat loneliness and isolation within the community - saw men and women from the local area enjoy an afternoon tea while socialising and enjoying live music.

Guests were unaware the prince would be joining them, and his entrance was met with delighted gasps.

That looks to be such a delightful time for so many and I wish I could go to one.  The setting, the food, the music will surely make some people there feel like they are on top of the world. What a marvelous thing to do for the people who probably never had something like this in their lives before. Praise to Prince Charles and his staff for thinking of this. It is once in a lifetime wonderful memory for so many yet a tiny thing for him and his staff to do.

I LOVE this type of stories that no one knows until it is told like 10+ years later!!!

Quote
David Lammy told how the then Prince of Wales visited Tottenham after the 2011 riots and continued to visit over the years, bringing practical help in the form of businesses and the Prince's Trust. ''He put more effort in than prime ministers and leaders of the opposition,'' Lammy

David Lindon Lammy FRSA is an English politician serving as Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs since 2021. A member of the Labour Party, he has been Member of Parliament for Tottenham since the 2000 Tottenham by-election.

Q&A
Is the Prince's Foundation the same as the Prince's Trust?

No

The Prince's Foundation was created through the merger, in 2018, of The Prince's Foundation for Building Community, The Prince's Regeneration Trust, The Great Steward of Scotland's Dumfries House Trust and The Prince's School of Traditional Arts.

Better to err on the side of caution. There can always be other ambassadors.

King Charles distances himself from Phillip Schofield following affair scandal | HELLO!

Yes, of course he does. However, he?s been mired in several scandals himself (Camilla, Bolland, Fawcett the Fence, Saville, Ball, etc anyone) but due to his rank and position people didn?t distance themselves from him, though many probably felt like doing so. Pity THEY didn?t follow through!

Yes, some really good news is needed these days and knowing how well the Prince's Trust is doing the job is very welcoming indeed for those that need it.
